The One Dark Lord
by Sauron Gorthaur

Aulë's servant was he:
The smith of silver and gold.
Aulë he betrayed,
The One Dark Lord!

He was the Black Captain,
Finest servant of Melkor.
From Gaurhoth, he ruled,
The One Dark Lord!

Beren, he held captive.
He put Gorlim to the sword.
Lúthien defeated him,
The One Dark Lord!

A song of treachery, he sang.
To ears intent, he told,
A song, base and evil,
The One Dark Lord!

Huan was his match,
That hound of Valinor.
In demon form he fled,
The One Dark Lord!

To the isle of Men he came,
To the isle of Númenor.
Corrupted by him it sank,
The One Dark Lord!

As Annatar he came,
In a form fair and old.
For him rings were made,
The One Dark Lord!

A Ring he did make.
Into it his power poured.
One Ring to rule them all.
The One Dark Lord!

Isildur, he took it,
With a broken sword.
The Ring, then, was lost from him,
The One Dark Lord!

The fiery Eye is roving,
In a tower high, abhorred,
Searching for his Ring,
The One Dark Lord!

But the Ring was destroyed.
He'll rule never more.
His dark tower's crumbled,
The One Dark Lord!
