We walked through the beautiful forest, surrounded by the greenery of the forest and the song of a nightingale. Edward reached over and grabbed my hand, and my still heart fluttered at the contact, even if only metaphorically so (A big thank you to hopeful wager for the latter part of this sentence).

Hand in hand, we broke through the trees and into the meadow. It looked beautiful. The perfectly round area was bathed in moonlight, making everything seem delicate and surreal. Edward flopped down on the grass and pulled me down with him.

"Wow," I breathed. For once, the constant cloud cover of Forks had cleared and the sky was visible. Above me, the sky was a dark color, somewhere between a midnight blue and inky black.

But what made the backdrop even more beautiful were the thousands of twinkling stars that winked at me from their perches in the sky. I was speechless, but apparently Edward wasn't.

"If I could, I would put a picture of you in the stars. That way the universe, now and forever, could gaze upon you and know how lucky I am to have such a beautiful goddess by my side."

I smiled; he was so sweet! I rolled over to kiss him. "Thanks," I whispered.

He shrugged. "It's the truth."

I rolled back to continue stargazing. My breath caught. "Edward, look!"

In the sky, the stars had formed a shape. A heart, to be precise. And inside the heart, if you looked closely, you could make out something. Something that looked like it said E+B.

Edward saw it too. He smiled at me and squeezed my hand. "Forever."
