Heero walked into the bathroom just as Trowa finished shaving. Heero's hair was slightly wild from his sleep, but otherwise he looked like he'd been awake all along, if he weren't still wearing his blue-striped pajamas.

Trowa peered briefly at him in the mirror before reaching for his toothbrush.

Heero stood in the doorway, watching him for a moment before slipping in silently, coming to stand beside him at the sink. As if sensing intent, Trowa set the tube of toothpaste aside and turned to face the other man.

Heero didn't look away from Trowa's gaze as he raised a hand and glided his knuckles gently against a cheek made smooth from the shaving cream and razor.

After a moment, Trowa's eyes gently drifted closed as he enjoyed the tactile sensation. A feather-light kiss was bestowed upon his other cheek.

When the contact was broken, Trowa knew that the moment was over. Not the end of their connection, but the end of a special moment that would remain between them in the privacy of the home they had made together.
