Young street urchin… trying to walk… can't breath… hears her friends' voices… feels her friends grabbing her arms… hears knocking… still can't breath… worried adult voices… falls unconscious.
"Do you think she'll make it?"
"We can't tell at this point, little raccoon"
"Actually I'm part fox and my name is Scoot-along Fox-coon."
"Wow. Hey Bentley, can we keep them? I mean with the turtle hurt and all…"
The young street urchin opens her eyes and sees an adult mouse looking at her with concern. At the same time she feels a sharp pain in her leg. "The snake bite" she thinks, panicking. Meanwhile, Scoot and her friend Mara are telling the Cooper gang what happened to their friend. "Well" Scoot-along begins "we were looking for food when someone's escaped pet rattle snake rattled. This spooked Burnett; you know the turtle in the other room, anyway she stepped on the snake and it bit her." Scoot finished.
"Hmm… may be we should keep Burnett here so she can recover. Some tests that we ran proved that your friend has half immunity to the snake venom." Bentley said, matter-of-factly.
"How 'bout we all stay?" Scoot asked with a pleading look.
Four years later:
"SCOOT! DO YOU READ ME?"
"Ow! Yeah turn your volume down though. You're hurting my ears."
"Oops! Sorry! Anyway…
"HEY, I CAN MAKE THIS THING REALLY LOUD!!!!! COOL!"
