I wrote this about 2 years ago, and thought I'd upload it. It's really short, but it was my first attempt of a SasuSaku.

"What's wrong, Sasuke-kun?"

Sasuke stiffened, yet continued sharpening his weapons.

"Nothing." He answered in his usual stoic manner.

However, the truth was something was very, very wrong. Sakura had finally begun to talk to him, and then had she started…this. She would be frustratingly sweet, playing the part of fan girl, giggling at things he said that weren't even that funny, mocking him, reminding him that things would never be the same, that he wasn't welcome in her life.

You could tell she loathed him, he would call her name and her features would grow dark, annoyance written on her face…and then she would turn around with a sweet smile, poke her tongue out like she did when they were genin and say, 'Yes, Sasuke-kun?'…

Sakura sat opposite to him on the training grounds and pulled out her bag.

"Don't you have lunch Sasuke-kun? You can share mine." She batted her eyelashes.

He only stared at her. When he wanted to put on a disgusted face at her act, he would remind himself; 'You left…you deserve this. She doesn't have to forgive you…'

"I'm not hungry." Sasuke snapped, standing. He wandered over to the logs, only a few feet from where they were. Sakura spun around to face him.

"I don't know how you do it, you're so strong…"

Sasuke bottled up his emotions and leant against the log. Why oh why had Naruto and Kakashi left early?

Sakura had come over and was leaning against the log too. She batted her eyelashes up at him again and put on that sickly smile.

"What's wrong, Sasuke-kun?" she repeated.

That had done it. He slammed her against the log. She gasped.

"Stop the fucking act Sakura." He growled, "If you hate me say so, don't keep up that useless charade." He glared at her, daring her. She didn't respond. Sneering, he let her go and began to walk away.

"I-I don't hate you."

Sasuke stopped. Sakura continued.

"I—I try," she stopped. Sasuke turned to stare at her, tears were streaming down her face and she found it hard to look at him, "I try so hard…" she paused and took a breath, looking down. Sasuke made his way back towards her until he was standing directly in front of her. She raised her head to look him in they eye, those green orbs brighter with tears, "I try so hard to hate you…and I…can't."

Sasuke stared down at the crying girl. She was wiping her eyes and clearing her throat, muttering to herself about how stupid she was. Sasuke pulled her hands from her face and lifted her head.

"Don't try." He said as he kissed her.

Tenderly, their lips pressed together, creating tingles and causing their hearts to beat faster. Sasuke pulled away, and smirked down at her frozen face, eyes wide open in shock.

"Come on." He said, picking up his bag, "Let's go find Naruto and Kakashi."
