Voices yelling and screaming at me,

So loud I can't even hear my own footsteps.

Tripping, falling,

Onto ground so cold,

Making sharp,

Stinging slits in my skin.

Crawling, I see a hunched up figure.

She looks so distraught,

I need to help her.

I wrap my arms around her, she whispers:

I love you.

And my world is calm.
