Anthony DiNozzo jumped a foot in the air when his girlfriend, Ziva David, screamed from the bathroom. He put down the case file that he was reading, and in a matter of seconds, was standing in front of the bathroom door.

"Ziva?" He knocked hesitantly. "Are you ok?" When he received no answer, he slowly turned the door knob and pushed the door open. His face scrunched up in confusion when he saw Ziva standing on the toilet seat, eyes trained on something on the floor behind the door.

"Ziva?" Tony asked again, unsure of what was happening. "What's going on?"

Ziva raised a shaky finger and pointed to a spot behind the door. He stepped into the bathroom and closed the door, his eyes searching for what was causing his ninja girlfriend to act so weird.

"I don't…" But then his eyes fell on the thing that held such power over Ziva. He chuckled slightly at the irony of the situation. "Ziva." He scolded and smirked that the woman who was towering above him. He walked over and bent down, gently picking up the…spider. "Hey there little guy." He stood back up and walked over to Ziva again.

Ziva yelped and took a step back. "Get that thing away from me!" She yelled, but Tony just blinked.

"It's just a little spider!" He cooed and the spider crawled over his hand.

"No! It is a little beast!"

Tony raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised that you, Ziva David, Mossad ninja, are afraid of a wee little spider!" He teased.

"I am not afraid." Ziva crossed her arms and glared at Tony.

"Are too."

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"R2-D2!" Tony grinned at his creativity and Ziva rolled her eyes.

"Admit it, you have arachnophobia!"

Ziva sighed. "I do not! Spiders just speak me out. They have eight eyes and legs!"

Tony laughed. "First, I think you mean freak, and second, I think you mean really freak." Tony's eyes softened when he saw Ziva shift uncomfortably. "Come 'ere." He put his free hand out to help Ziva off of the toilet. She reluctantly took it and jumped down. "You know what? Spiders kind of remind me of you."

Ziva looked up with curious eyes. "Why?"

"Because they're so beautiful and graceful. Have you ever watched a spider spin a web? It kinda reminds me of you when you kick ass." Ziva smiled gently. "And spiders eat the bad or annoying insects. So it's like when you arrest the bad guys." He held the hand that had the spider on it out, and Ziva slowly raised her hand to meet it. The spider scurried onto Ziva hand, causing her to shiver and smile slightly.

"It tickles." She giggled and Tony nodded. After a few minutes of letting the spider crawl on her hands, Ziva went to the balcony door and gently set the spider outside.

"That wasn't so bad, was it?" Tony breathed from behind her and she jumped.

"No."

Later that night, Tony and Ziva lay in bed. Their four legs tangled together and their arms wrapped around each other, and outside in the window looking into the bedroom, the spider sat in its newly made web, watching the couple sleep.
