I wrote a longer story about this moment from Dean's POV called "His Little Brother." And that story actually ties in to another drabble I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, if I'm crazy this week it's because I've been sick and medicated. ;) That's why this drabble is late. Thanks for reading and as always, reviews are most welcome!

"Dean, are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here."

Dean's voice sounded so weary. Sam's heart hurt because he had done this to his brother. Sure, Hell had done something to Dean but hadn't that been his fault too?

"Dean, I'm sorry. Please let me out."

"Can't, Sammy. It's for your own good."

Frustration overwhelmed him again. He grabbed the only chair in the panic room and slammed it against the door. Splinters of wood flew in every direction.

Sam slumped to the floor and began to sob.

He'd never wanted any of this.

If only Dean had let him stay dead.
