John Sheppard's How To Fish 101
Author's Note: This story was inspired by my Grandpa and my sister; when ever we see him he always takes me and "jewel of athos" out fishing; and they always get mad at me because I catch all the fish.
"OK, watch and learn," Sheppard said.
"I know how to cast, Sheppard!" said Jack O'Neill.
"I just wanted to make sure you knew, and have you ever caught anything in this pond?"
"Because there are no fish in my pond at all!"
"Then why do you fish here?"
"Hello John, General O'Neill," Teyla said walking up to them.
"Hey, Teyla," Jack said.
"Hi," Sheppard said, making sure that he didn't look away from the fishing pole; just in case he had a bite.
"What are you two doing?" she asked.
"Fishing," Sheppard said.
"Have you ever fished Teyla?" Jack asked.
"Only a few times; and with different poles."
"Well would you like to fish a little bit?" O'Neill asked.
"First you pull this with your finger, and latch this over like that, and then you just throw it out there," Sheppard said, trying to sound like a pro.
"OK, I think I know how to do it. Do you do it like this?" Jack and Sheppard's mouth's both dropped open; Teyla had done a perfect cast.
"Yeah, exactly like that," Sheppard said, his mouth was still open.
"What is happens now?" Teyla asked.
"You wait," Jack said.
"Nothing," Teyla said with a confused face.
"There are no fish in his pond at all, but it's where he fishes," Sheppard said.
"Yep," Jack replied.
"Why do you fish in a pond with no fish?"
"Because I want to! Now stop asking me questions!" Jack yelled at Sheppard.
"I'm thirsty. Sheppard, Teyla, would you like something to drink?"
"That would be lovely," she said
"Sure," Sheppard said
"Good, follow me!" Jack said walking towards his house. "Sheppard, I said follow me!"
"Yes sir." They followed Jack inside the house, and the moment they were inside the house a big fish came towards Jack's pole and pulled it into the water and ate the worm.
Author's Note: Thanks for the idea Grandpa!!!! (and "jewel", that last little paragraph was her idea).
