Oh, Jennifer, you know I always tried
before you say goodbye
Leave the bourbon on the shelf
and I'll drink it by myself
and I love you endlessly,
Darling don't you see I'm not satisfied
until I hold you tight.

Gibbs sighed and sat down, moving away from his boat. He grabbed the bottle on the shelf and took a large swig, letting the sticky sweet liquid trickle down his throat, drowning the taste of salty tears in his mouth. Breathing in and out in large movements, he tried, unsuccessfully, to stop himself shaking. It was only days ago that Jenny had been here, so close. He closed his eyes and pictured her fiery hair atop her perfectly set features. Yet now, she was gone. Gone, and never, ever coming back.

The tears started to run freely now, as he remembered everything they had together; it had all started on that one night in Paris.

'I'm so sorry…' He choked out the words, and then laughed bitterly as he remembered what he had said to her, many times.

'Never apologise, it's a sign of weakness!'

It all seemed so…irrelevant now.

She was gone.

And that was all.

Leave the bourbon on the shelf
And I'll drink it by myself
And I love you endlessly,
Darling don't you see
I'm not satisfied.
