(A/N: I don't think I have any author's notes for the beginning of this. Enjoy!)
"This isn't what you wanted, is it?" Emily demands. "Tell me the truth."
"N-no," Sam stutters. "This is what I want. This is where I belong."
"Tell me the truth," Emily orders him. "If it weren't for imprinting, you wouldn't love me. You want to be with Leah, don't you?"
Sam can't lie to Emily any longer. "Yes," he admits nervously. "But this is how it's supposed to be. We're soul mates."
"If we were really soul mates, you would have noticed me without imprinting," Emily hisses.
"You have to do what I want. Leave. Go find Leah. Tell her that I don't matter to you anymore."
Emily is right. Sam can't ignore her commands. He walks to the door, trying not to wonder if this will be the last time that he sees Emily.
He knows that imprinting isn't what he wanted.
It just took him until now to figure it out.
(A/N: I thought I'd see what happens if an imprint uses their power over the imprinted wolf for a good thing. I don't think Leah would take Sam back after that, but it's the thought that counts, right? Reviews are chocolate chip cookies! (Yeah, I thought of something else to say other than "reviews are love."))
