Author's Note: It's very short and quick. There's really no point to this. I just thought Jackal needed more love, and the Jackal/Marui friendship is just one of my favorites.

Jackal turned off the electric razor and threw it into his tennis bag, having just shaved his head as he normally does before every game. As he seated himself on the bench, he felt a hand gently rub the top of his head. He looked up to see his best friend and doubles partner Marui Bunta standing behind him, observing Momoshiro and Kaidoh at the other bench.

"What are you doing?' Jackal asked with an arched eyebrow.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm checking out our opponents."

Letting out a small laugh, Jackal rolled his eyes and shifted his body to face his teammate.

"That's not what I meant."

Marui tore his eyes away from Seigaku and looked at Jackal with a teasing innocence.

"Then what do you mean?"

He continued absentmindedly rubbing Jackal's head, receiving a playful glare in return.

"Stop it," Jackal demanded.

Marui looked down at Jackal with a smirk, enjoying every minute of annoying him.

"Make me."

Jackal let out a lighthearted sigh. Marui's usual retort was amusing when he used it against their opponents, but now he knew what it felt like to be on the other end.

"Okay seriously Marui, stop."

"But it's our good luck charm, Jackal. It calms me down."

Marui now lifted up his other hand and proceeded to rub Jackal's bald head with all his might. He turned to Kirihara who was giving them odd looks from the seat next to them.

"Hey, what are you looking at, brat?"

"N-Nothing, senpai."
