Sandy woke up with a big yawn. She hopped up out of bed and started stretching. It had been a long night for her. She kept hearing noises coming from all around the tree dome. Her stomach grumbled and she quickly forgot about last night. She hadn't eaten dinner last night and she was starving. Once she got into the kitchen, she pulled down a box of cereal and a carton of milk. She ate slowly trying to think of something to do that day. She was finished with her newest invention and had nothing else to do. When she was finished, she got up and went to the door. She almost went outside but stopped when she noticed a note on the door.
"What's this?" The note said one word: "Follow". Then there was an arrow pointing down to the ground. When Sandy looked down she saw a single rose petal. "What in tarnation? How'd this get there?" She opened the door and gasped in surprise. There was a whole trail of rose petals leading from her front door to the dome door. She put on her air suit and went to the door. Looking outside, she could see a long trail of petals. "Well I guess I found something to do today." She stepped out of her house and began to walk down the path. She knew there was something weird about this but couldn't turn down an adventure. Up on a hill in jellyfish fields, she could look out and see where the trail was leading her. It went straight to SpongeBob's house. She ran down the hill and stopped at his door. There was another note. This one said: "Please come in". Sandy opened the door and called out.
"SpongeBob, you in here?"
"Hi Sandy. I'm glad you got my notes."
"Uh yea, what's this all about?"
"Just wanted to invite you to dinner." Sandy looked at the clock it was 5:00. SpongeBob had made a long trail so that it would take her a long time to get there. Then again she hadn't woken up till about 12:00
"Well next time, all you gotta do is call."
"Sorry Sandy. But you won't be upset when you see the surprise I have for you." He ran into the kitchen. Sandy followed him in. She gasped. SpongeBob had made a huge dinner. There were candles, huge plates of spaghetti, glasses of wine, and napkins folded up like little swans. She felt like she was in a fancy restaurant.
"SpongeBob did you do all this?"
"Well I don't mean to brag but, yes!"
"Thanks Sandy." They sat down and after a while they were finished eating. SpongeBob started acting a little nervous. "I'll be right back Sandy." He got up and ran into the other room. Sandy sat at the table thinking about how sweet this all was. SpongeBob was an excellent cook. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around. SpongeBob was standing there with his hands behind his back and a slight blush on his cheeks.
"Sandy we've known each other for a long time now and I was just wondering…" He got down on one knee and pulled out a small box. He paused for a second before opening it up to show a gold ring with a small pearl in top. "Sandy will you marry me?" She didn't know what to say.
"Oh SpongeBob! I… I… Yes!" SpongeBob jumped to his feet.
"You will! Really!?"
"Of course I will." She stood up too and put her arms around him. He did the same. Sandy quickly slipped her helmet off and kissed him on the lips. SpongeBob blushed. "Well now what Romeo?"
"I don't know." He replied, "I never thought I would get this far."
