Disclaimer: I don't own Nick and Norah's Infinate Playlist.

Warnings: Girl/Girl implications.

Pairing: implied Caroline/Norah

Author Note: This is a drabble, the only thing that I could really write well. Anyways, it's a "what if" thing - don't take it seriously.

"You're lying. You want to jump down Nick's -"

"No -" Norah interrupted, shutting her eyes tightly. "I don't."

Caroline didn't reply, but when Norah reopened her eyes, the blonde was grinning widely and snapping her gum. She resisted rolling her eyes at the look - the familiar look that told her that Caroline was convined with something that wasn't even true.

Needless to say, Norah hates this the most about her best friend, but it does serve her well. Caroline's obliviousness and extremely loose aiming to pinpoint the actual facts has helped her over the years.

Caroline still doesn't know how Norah feels.

The blonde nodded casually, raising her eyebrows and seemingly backing off.

"Okay, okay. That's fine, babe, you're still in denial. But when you've finally got it figured out, don't forget to give me a ring to give me some recognition."

She took a step back, turned around, and began down the hallway. There was a bounce in her step and a stride in her walk that Norah could never ignore - the sheer confidence that radiates from her was very well intoxicating.

"I've already got it figured out," Norah mumbled, glued to her place against the lockers.

Caroline was too far off to hear her.
