The boy had green eyes, broad shoulders, dark blond hair.

He was dazed, docile, all light stubble and warm fresh blood. He looked good enough to eat.

And they were hungry.

"Can we keep him?" Alyssa cooed to Sanofi as they helped him stand up. "As a pet?"

"We'll see," Sanofi purred. They walked him to the back room, behind closed doors, away from the crowded bar.

"Evenin', ladies," the kid drawled. He was suddenly alert. That grin he flashed them was bright and wolfish.

He pulled that long, sharp machete out from underneath his brown leather jacket.

Heads rolled.
