Disclaimer: I do not own "Fired Up' nor do I own any of the movies characters.
A/N: I love the movie Fired Up and I am sure that Shawn and Nick are lovers.
"Some of the girls were talking about you and Nick..."
"Don't believe anything you hear!"
The fact that he felt any emotion towards that particular conversation pissed him off.
By the time Shawn finally ventured back to the bunks, Nick had worked himself into a full blown outrage.
"So, Carly and I- dude, what's wrong?"
Shawn knew Nick better then... well anyone and it wasn't too difficult for him to figure out that his blond friend was upset.
Nick shook his head. "I don't fucking get you, Shawn."
Shawn cocked his head to the side, obviously confused.
"Is this about me shitting where I eat, cos I-"
"NO! This has nothing to do with shitting!"
Shawn knew that laughing would only piss Nick off even more.
"Well, what has you all "Hulk"?"
"You, Shawnzy. Like fucking usual."
"Dude, what did I do?"
"I didn't do-"
"I know you haven't boned her, Shawn. I'm talking about her and what she's doing to us."
Shawn averted his gaze from his best friend and onto the floor.
"What the fuck ever," Nick growled at the other boys silence.
Shawn shot Nick an annoyed look of his own.
"Nick, how the fuck can you even think about being pissed at me about Carly? You've hooked up with a shit ton of girls since we have been here and I'm not acting like a bitch about it."
Nick rolled his eyes and pointedly stared at the dark-haired boy.
"Exactly. Hooked up, not fell for."
Shawn didn't know what to say.
Nick was right, of course. They had come to hook up, and Nick had and Shawn had broken the only 'rule' that they had even established: Do not fall for anyone. Hooking up was fine, but falling was something Nick considered, fuck they both considered, a breach of their... "friendship".
Shawn walked over to his friends bunk and sat down.
Nick rolled over and looked up at Shawn.
"You're sorry, I know, but you really like her. I can tell by the way you act around her."
"Will this ruin us? I mean, us as best friends not as...."
He wasn't about to say lovers because that would make him feel as though he were breaking up with Nick, and he wasn't. He was just ending the more romantic part of their relationship.
Nick gave the other boy a solemn look though it was a few minutes before he spoke.
"Naw, as long as my boy's happy."
Shawn grinned at the blond.
He wasn't an idiot, but his feelings for Carly weren't doing anything for his intelligence at the moment.
"Aww, I love you, man."
He gave Nick's arm a quick squeeze and continued on with his "Carly and I" story.
Nick watched as his best friend, ex-lover, rambled on about Carly and her cheer leading.
All the while feeling as though he was breakin'.
