Disclaimer- I don't own Ned or Moze
"Ned, could you please tell me where we're going." I begged. Ned was holding my hand practically dragging across a path in the middle of the woods.
"I thought my girlfriend would enjoy a nice work." Ned continued to drag me along.
"It's 7:30 in the morning, Ned! I don't enjoy anything at 7:30 in the morning!" I teased him.
"Oh, shut up." He grumbled.
I laughed, "Do you wanna tell me what we're really doing?"
"I told you, we're going on a walk." He insisted.
"Ned, you're hiding something from me! You never look at me when you're hiding something and you haven't looked at me once today." I told him.
"That's not true; I'm looking at you right now." He said, looking down.
"Ned, looking at my shoes doesn't count." I laughed again.
"Yes, it does. Now, come on." Ned started pulling me along again.
"Ned, can you please tell me what's going on?" I pleaded with him.
Ned stopped abruptly almost causing me to slam into him.
"We're here." He smiled.
I looked around; it didn't look any different than the rest of the woods, "Not to be rude, Ned, but what exactly is here?"
"Your surprise." He said, "Now, close your eyes and hold out your hands."
I laughed but did as he said.
"Okay, open!" He cried.
I opened my eyes to see a basket lying in my arms.
"My surprise is a basket?" I asked, trying really hard not to sound rude.
"Not just any type of basket…an Easter basket." He laughed.
I gasped, "Even better!"
Ned laughed at me, "The basket is only part of the surprise."
"And the other part would be?" I wondered.
"Well, I remember you saying how you said you really liked Easter egg hunt as a kid and with Easter right around the corner I thought you might enjoy this." Ned blushed, "I thought this might be fun."
I stared at Ned shocked. How could he have possibly remembered that? But it made me beyond happy that he did.
"Ned, how could you have remembered that?" I wondered.
"I loved the way your face lit up when we talked about Easter egg hunts. So, I remembered in case I wanted to do something like this." He spoke honestly.
I leaned up and kissed his cheek, "Thank you."
"Of course." He smiled, "Now, go find those eggs."
I laughed and ran off. I found at least 25 eggs; blue, pink, purple, striped, not one egg was the same. They were behind trees, under bushes, and I had to climb a couple trees to find some.
Now I was sitting in between Ned's legs while his back rested against a tree. I was opening my Easter eggs. Each egg contained a different piece of candy I loved; Jolly Ranchers, Sour Patch Kids, Hershey, and Bunch-a-Crunch.
"Thank you, Ned." I leaned into his warm embrace, "This was so much fun."
"I'm glad you liked it." He kissed my cheek, "But you missed an egg."
He pulled out a yellow egg with red polka dots, from behind his back.
"Open it." He whispered in my ear.
I opened the egg and only saw paper inside. I realized it was a note. I unfolded and the words, Will you go to prom with me?", were written as neatly as Ned could write.
I turned around and kissed him. I kissed him until he lost his balance and we fell onto the grass, with me on his chest.
"Correct me if I'm wrong but kissing me means yes…right?" Ned asked
"Ned, when it comes to you, my answer is always yes."
