I don't own Naruto.
He intrigued me the first time I saw him. Unlike other people, I couldn't read the hyper ninja called Naruto. So, against my better thoughts, I decide to observe Naruto. It was a repetition, I noted. He got up in the morning, made instant ramen, and got dressed. Once he was done, he headed off to train. I watched how hard he practiced, all the while muttering about how he had to be better than the Uchiha. After training for at least half the day, he headed to Ichiraku to grab lunch. Once he was done, it was back to training. I watched Naruto head home at 8 o' clock and get ready for bed. The next day, he repeated the same routine. I didn't know why I was interested in him. It made me frustrated that I couldn't figure it out. And soon, after observing him for a week, I wanted to be closer to him. So, while he was training, I walked up to him.
Naruto stopped, looking at me. "Kabuto?"
"Why are you here?"
"I was observing you."
I thought about it. Why was I there? I smiled a little when I figured it out. "You remind me of me when I was your age."
It is unknown why Kabuto thinks Naruto reminds him of himself when he was young.
