I was having a bit of writer's block, so my friend Jerilyn gave me a mini-prompt to get over it. The prompt was NCIS, any pairing, rain, car. This is written as a Tony/Ziva but since I never mention them by name you could place anyone in their position. Please enjoy and review!

They made it to the car five seconds after the heavens opened up and rain began pouring from the sky. Of course they got totally soaked getting into the car, but they were both laughing, which was nice. It had been a while since had heard her laugh like that. It was a real laugh; not the forced one she used for show at work.

It had been his idea to go on a picnic in the park, something to get her away from everything that was going on, and it was obviously a welcome distraction. She looked as though she had been having a good time, and he was glad. He loved seeing her smile; it was one of the most beautiful things in the world to him. She was gorgeous when she smiled a true smile. It started at her lips and worked its way up to her eyes, which sparkled. That was her true smile.

He reached behind her on the back seat and grabbed a blanket and handed it to her to dry off with. She took it, the smile still on her face and dried her face off and then offered to him. He dried his face off as well and then tossed the blanket back into the back seat.

"I'm sorry, about all this," he said, gesturing to the rain that was still falling fast and heavily around them.

"Don't apologize. I had fun," she said, laying her hand on his arm. "It was fun, getting caught in the rain, I've never done anything like that." He smiled. He was glad that she was still enjoying herself. She shook her hair out, which was still wet, and splashed water on his. He frowned and looked at her.

"You are seriously going to regret that," he said as he reached across the space between the seats and began to tickle her. She shrieked and tried to wriggle away from him, but there was no space. He continued to tickle her until, in a fit of madness; she leaned over and planted her lips on his. This startled him and his hands immediately stilled. She leaned closer and deepened the kiss and he responded.

Finally, they pulled away, breathless. He ran his hand over his face and then smiled and looked at her.

"Still having fun?" he asked.

"I love the rain," was her reply, and then her lips were on his again.
