Thanks for all the feedback/support/favorites/alerts! Some of you already know this from a recent post on my Facebook page (add me if you want! My email address in on my profile page and is probably the easiest way to look me up.), but I've been thoroughly SMacked, and I'm watching the series from the beginning. The following came to me after watching the season 1 finale, 'What You See is What You See.' Enjoy!

"Morning, Mac," Stella said as she fell into step beside him just before they reached his office.

Mac held the door open for her and followed her inside.

"You look happy this morning," Stella smirked. "Something to do with your date last night?"

Mac chuckled and scratched his eyebrow with his index finger, his gaze slipping from Stella's.

"It was…nice," he admitted.

"So you're going to see her again."

"I don't know. We had a good time…"

"…but she's not really your type," Stella finished, her grin widening.

Mac quirked an eyebrow and tilted his head, confirming her statement. "What about you?"

"No, I don't think she's my type, either." Her smirk widened into a grin.

"Ha ha," Mac replied sarcastically. "You auditioning for the stand-up comedy circuit? I meant how was your date?"

"Oh, you know…" Stella said vaguely.

"So you can ask about my date, but you clam up when I ask about yours?" he teased.

She rolled her eyes. "Fine. We had dinner, went to a show, and then he paid for my cab home."

"Sounds like you had a good time. Are you going to see him again?"

"Maybe," she replied lightly. "Why, are you jealous?"

"Of course not," he responded a little too quickly. He cleared his throat. "I was just, you know, wondering if you would be walking around here in that dress again."

"Uh-huh," she said as she crossed her arms over her chest and raised an eyebrow.

"It's true," Mac insisted.

Stella still didn't believe him but decided to play his game anyway. "Ah, well, in that case, no, I won't be wearing the dress here again. I mean, he's already seen me in it once, so if I go out with him again, I have to wear something different."

"Well, that's good…" Mac said as he moved to his desk and picked up a file.

"Though if I broke it off with him and were seeing someone else, it's likely that I'd wear the dress again."

"Yeah?" He turned toward her and leaned against the desk.

"Yeah," she replied definitively as she stepped forward into his personal space. "Unless we were on a date."

"You wouldn't wear that dress if we were together? Hypothetically speaking, of course."

"No," she whispered, shaking her head. "I'd have something that you'd like much better."

Stella smirked one final time then turned on her heels and exited the office, leaving a very hot and bothered Mac Taylor in her wake.
