If you're crazy and ya know it...

River Tam was humming a tune as she 'drifted' through the Firefly.

"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands." She clapped.

It was a strange song, one from Earth that was that was made for children. She knew it now because it was drifting through the mind of someone on the ship. "Who?" she did not know.

And it was driving her crazy.

Crazy-er, that is.

The girl entered the cargo bay, and started fitting the tune to the events around her.

The Captain was giving orders to Zoe and Jayne about their next job.

"If you're a Captain and you know it, give an order." River intoned.

"No, Jayne! No Grenades!" Mal growls.

"But Mal!" Jayne starts. "What about on Pri...?"

"No. Gorram. Grenades." Mal orders. "We don't want a repeat of the 'Saber' job, now do we?"

"If you're unhappy and you know it, stomp your feet." River continues her song.

The Mercenary grumbles and storms away. "Got that right." he mutters as he passes by the girl.

"Sir, Jayne may be right this time." Zoe starts.

"Not you too!" The Captain sighs.

"If you're a Soilder and you know it, load your gun."

Zoe primes her Shotgun. "Sir, the info Badger gave us was shaky at best. Maybe a..."

"FINE!" Mal shouts a string of Mandarin, bringing the Merc. back into the room. "Jayne, You can bring...Two grenades."

"Allright!" Jayne races out of the room again.

"and if you're happy and you know it, Simile Bright." River drifts down into the common area.

Kaylee was grinning from ear to ear as she explains all the details of her previous night to Inara. "It was al' jus' so Shiny, 'Nara!"

She laughs. "I can imagine!"

"If you're sad and you know it, laugh it off." river whispers as she enters the infirmary.

Simon was currently re-counting his medical supplies, for the fifth time that day.

"And If you're bored and you know it, find some company." she tells her brother.

He looks up at her and smiles. "I'll...take that into consideration, River."

"You're being stupid and you know it, don't be dumb." she rolls her eyes, drifts out of the room and up the staircase up to the upper level.

The Sheppard and Wash were talking in the dining room as River walks in.

"If you're a Pilot and you know it, give a roar."

"And you're sure it doesn't mention anything about Rexxy?" the pilot asks, holding up a plastic T-rex.

"And if you're lieing and you know it, tell the truth."

"I'm quite sure the Bible doesn't mention anything about Dinosaurs." Book laughs.

"Okay then." Wash pauses. "Does it talk about fireflys in space wearing metal tutus?"

The white haired man laughs.

"And if yer crazy and ya know it, and ya really don't care for it, then yer crazy and ya know it so stop singin' that gorram song!" jayne finishes her song as he walks through the room, carrying a boat load of grenades. This catching the attention of Wash and Book.

"That did not rhime, Man-Called-Jayne." River smiles. "it should be 'blink your eyes'."

"Blink?" Wash asks, blinking himself.

"Quite correct. Must re-start to get it out of my head correctly." River drifts out of the room.

"Not again..." Jayne groans and goes down to the cargo bay, humming a simple tune in tune with the girl.

"And if yer happy and ya know it, than yer face'll surely show it. If yer happy and ya know it, sing a simple song..."
