Happy Rin Meets Batman

Please review my story. I love know what you think :)

Rin ruffled her raven hair as she propped herself on her elbows. She was lying on the ledge up on the roof and the concrete paving was making interesting hole designs in her skin. She let out a ragged sigh. She'd been waiting for five minutes now and she was seriously getting bored. Letting out another frustrated sigh, she leaned her head back on the ledge and turned her head slightly to watch the activities far below. The roads with the car lights traveling up and down gave the appearance of a black river with dozens of lightening bugs. "Argh!" She slapped her face with her hands and rubbed vigorously, "So booooorrrreeeeddrrrr..." There was a whoosh of wind and a light pad sound on the roof. She looked up, quickly propping herself on her elbows once again. He stood before her, a figure in black, almost invisible. She squint her eyes, shielding them with her hand, confirming it was really him. When she knew it was, she sighed in great relief.

"Finally! Oooh my GOSH, you take forever!" she exclaimed. "I almost jumped off the building just to give myself something to do! And…" she slipped her hat off, a black pin-striped cap, and shook her hair, "you see this do? This is called flat hair my friend and let me tell you, it's not a pretty sight."

He continued to stare, obviously not showing any concern to Happy Rin's special needs. He spoke with intense authority. "You wanted to meet, so here I am."

"Humph." She placed her hat back on her head and put her hands on her hips, mumbling "took you long enough" underneath her breath.

"Where is he?"

"Oh my, so quickly to get down to business."

"I'm not here to play games." He growled.

"Of course not, otherwise you'd of been here five minutes earlier." She slipped in a clever grin, clearly pleased with her sweet sarcasm. He was obviously not impressed.

Clearly, he was serious for he turned his back to her and started to head off. Happy Rin pursed her lips and she made a disapproving sound. "I wouldn't leave if I were you," she stated, looking at her hands pretending to be uninterested that he was leaving,"you'll miss all the good stuff." She smiled to herself.

He didn't like that either. He turned around stiffly and looked straight at her, his fists clenched together. "What business do you have concerning the Joker?"

"Well, really, I'm only the messenger. I'm here to give you a friendly greeting message," she made her hand into a gun shape and shot in his direction, "How ya doin'? And the rest of the massage is from Mr. Dr. Evil himself…" She stared at him wondering if he got her joke or not, she giggled in spite of it. "Get it? Dr. Evil…from Austin Powers." She eyed him suspiciously. "Have you seen that movie?"

He clenched his fists and with a low growl, took three long strides towards her. "What is the message?"

She stared at him wide-eyed then rolled her eyes.

"Touch-E!" She slid around him and walked a ways down the roof, then whirled around. "Alright, listen sparky, Joker's message for you was that he has a secret weapon. And you get to figure out what that secret weapon is…" then with a smirk she said, "or who.
