This was written for shewhodanceswithsquirrels's Sentence, Post #360 for the OSS challenge thread in The DG Forum.

It had started as a challenge of sorts: Get the Weasley girl; he had never expected to fall in love with her kisses, with the tangy strawberry taste of her favourite lip gloss or with the specks of gold in her eyes.

They were complete opposites in every way. She was a Gryffindor where he was a Slytherin. Her fiery red waves contrasted brilliantly with his sleek silvery blond locks. Her honest chocolate brown eyes were the complete opposite of his liquid mercury eyes. Her uncontrollable temper only served as a reminder of how controlled his really was. Together they were an astonishing image.

The whole school was in an uproar when the rumours started. A Malfoy and a Weasley. A pure blood and a blood traitor.

Of course, nearly everyone thought it must have alternative motives; which it did to start off with. Nearly all of the Slytherins knew what was really going on. They all new it was some sick joke. Hell, even Ginny knew; that was why it took Draco so long to convince her otherwise.

He had no way of knowing that he would end up convincing himself. He had no way of knowing that the little weasel would start to grow on him until she captured his every thought. If he had known he would never have accepted the stupid dare in the first place.

But maybe it was for the best. He had always thought that she was quite a looker. Once he had stopped thinking of her as Potter's Fan Girl, he had started to see her as she really was. He had started to think she was beautiful.

Everyone said that opposites would attract, but even this pair hadn't thought it was possible.
