A/N: I was listening to the song Don't Think I Can't Love You by Jake Owen and this idea popped into my head. =]

Everything We've Been Through

A light breeze blew through the warm summer air, ruffling the leaves on the trees, and causing the lush green grass of the park to sway back and forth, brushing against the young couple who layed in it. The pair was silent, laying there, caught up in their own thoughts.

Draco Malfoy lay in the soft grass, his eyes closed against the warm summer sun, absently twisting his fingers around a strand of her silky auburn hair.

Turning her head to the side, Ginny Weasley watched as a crease appeared between his eyebrows -- an easy giveaway that he was deep in thought. She watched as a light breeze swirled his white-blonde hair around his pale face, and his long, dark eyelashes fluttered gently, covering silver eyes; she watched as, slowly, a smile pulled at the edges of his mouth, and then grew until he was grinning from ear-to-ear, causing Ginny herself to smile.

Gently, she lifted her hand and rested it against his cool, smooth cheek. His eyes remained closed, but he leaned into her touch. "Draco..." Ginny started uncertainly, wanting desperately to know what he was thinking about, but afraid to disturb the peace that seemed to have stolen over him.

"Mmm," Draco replied quietly, showing that he had heared her and that it was alright for her to continue.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked curiously, keeping his same quiet tone.

Now he did open his eyes, watching her with an expression so full of love and contentment that she felt the breath catch in her throat, and her heart skip a beat. "You..." he answered, still quietly, "Us... Everything we've been through, and how, despite it all, we're still together."

She closed her eyes, remembering too... The fights she had gotten in with her family, with her friends, who couldn't believe she was dating a Malfoy of all people, and Draco Malfoy nonetheless. The time she had first brought Draco home to meet her parents, and the first time he had brought her home to meet his own. She giggled a little at the memory, it couldn't have went any worse, she thought.

But despite all of the hard times, and the times things would get so bad they didn't see how their relationship could work, there was always a good time to rival it; times so good they seemed to blot out all other memories, if only for a little while. Their first kiss, the first time she had spent the night at his flat, their one year aniversary, the day they finally moved in together....

"It's funny, isn't it? After everything we've been through...." she trailed off. He chuckled, and leaned over to brush his lips lightly against her own, before pulling back just far enough to gaze into her chocolate eyes.

"But you know, no matter how difficult things were at times, that I still loved you, that I've always loved you?" he asked, silver eyes glowing with the truth of his words.

She leaned forward, closing the gap between their faces. "I know..." she murmured against his lips, "I know."

A/N: I would love to know what you thought, so reviews would be amazing. =D
