i don't know why i'm putting this up. can you guess what poets writing style i based it off of? (i'll submit the answer later)

you, girl whose name is mary,

have you a lamb that is not wary,

the lamb who follows you so,

why is thy lamb tempted to go?

the lamb follows thee to school, why?

children, gleeful thee play, happily cry,

why thy lamb follows? why indeed?

is there a deep, biting need?

and when thy teacher did see,

the lamb had followed thee,

thy teacher orders the beast away,

and still, young mary, near thee it stays.

why doth thy lamb follow thee?

could it be love, my young mary?

thy teacher bilieves that is the key,

to why thy lamb doth follow thee.

you, girl whose name is mary,

have you a lamb that is not wary,

the lamb who follows you so,

why is thy lamb tempted to go?
