Sam Winchester trailed behind his father who was currently a hailstorm, thunderstorm, hurricane, tornado, and a tsunami all combined. That was how furious John Winchester was at the moment and it terrified the youngest of the men. Whenever John was mad, things were never good. Either there was a yelling pitch, extra training, grounding from the Impala, blow upside the head, no dinner, or the ever-famous John Winchester torture routine.
The youngest Winchester didn't even want to think about that punishment.
Sam was worried about Dean at the moment more than himself. The school had called saying that Dean passed out in the hall on the way to class and they had taken him to the hospital where the doctors had discovered something interesting. Dean passed out because he had lost too much blood from a stab wound from a recent hunt. It had also gotten infected, making the older Winchester boy very ill. John had taken Sam out of school during fifth period right before lunch and had driven furiously to the hospital. Now they were racing down the halls to Dean's room.
Sam had his lip eternally bitten, knowing Dean was in for it this time.
They finally arrived and Sam gasped when he saw how pale Dean was. Then he tore his eyes from Dean to look at his father's face. The rage was still etched there and Sam knew he had to save his brother from John's wrath.
"Dean, what the Hell were you thinking?!" John roared before Sam sprung into action.
"Dean!" he scurried around his father, who was much larger than him, and sat on the edge of the bed half-shielding Dean from John, "Are you okay?"
Damn, by the way his father was cut off, Sam knew he was going to get one of the punishments engrained in his head.
"Yeah," Dean answered tiredly, glancing worriedly up at their father, "I'm sorry, Dad, I should've told you. I just didn't want you to get mad at me."
Yeah, you totally avoided that, De Sam thought a bit sarcastically.
John softened at his older boy's tone and how Sam appeared, "It's alright, you're going to be okay."
"Yeah, you're gonna be okay, De," Sam agreed with a small smile. Dean returned the smile, "Sure, Sammy."
