A/N: Yeah, so I wanted to write this, even though it's totally cliche. I'm tapped for ideas. Anyway, please review! I'm having serious WH13 withdrawals already!

"You're kidding," Myka half-stated, half-threatened.

"Nope, so not kidding," Claudia grinned. "Totally serious, right Artie?"

"I have nothing to do with this," Artie turned to Pete and Myka. "But I'm sure you both know by now that it's sometimes better to… indulge her rather than fight her."

"But about this?!" Myka practically squeaked. She shot a desperate look at Pete, who had been conspicuously silent for most of the conversation.

"Myka, it's completely up to you," Artie informed her, and went back to what he was doing at the old-fashioned keyboard.

"It is so not up to you! You'd be breaking the rules if you didn't!" Claudia jumped in.

"What rules?" Pete scoffed. "Yours?"

"No!" Claudia waved her arms. "The rules of like… Christmas or something! It just wouldn't be right if you passed up this opportunity."

"What opportunity? Claudia? What are you talking about?" Myka asked, quickly growing impatient. They'd been standing in the doorway for at least 10 minutes, and the argument was beginning to become circular- and endless.

"Please, like both of you haven't thought about it before-" she paused as she noticed both Pete and Myka sneak a glance at the other and look away sharply. "Oh, I see, okay. Well, fine, if you guys can't own up to your own wild desires, then just blame it on me and my odd sense of fun. No harm, no foul."

"Well, it might shut her up," Pete told Myka, trying not to look too hopeful. He couldn't deny it, Claudia was right; he had though about it before- thought about it a lot, in fact.

"Then will you let it go?" Myka asked Claudia. Upon seeing an enthusiastic nod from Claudia, Myka added, "Okay, fine."

"Yeah?" Pete confirmed.

"Yeah," she sighed.

They both leaned into each other, not knowing quite sure what the other was about to do or who would initiate. Claudia bounced up and down in the background, and Artie even snuck a glance- after all, he was supposed to just take it on faith that they had really gone through with it? After a few seconds, Pete took Myka by the arms and leaned in. Her eyes fluttered shut as his lips brushed hers, and she leaned in closer to him, deepening the kiss. After several long moments, a polite cough from Artie finally alerted them to the presence of the outside world, and they reluctantly parted.

"There, happy?" Pete managed to get out to Claudia.

"Totally!" Claudia exclaimed, beaming like she'd just gotten the best Christmas present ever. She turned and skipped from the room, humming a bit of some Christmas jingle.

"If you two are quite finished, we could work on inventory," Artie suggested. He too left the room in the expectation that Pete and Myka would follow.

"Yeah, we could do that…" Pete said to no one in particular.

"So…" Myka started.

"Why don't we just…" she gestured to the door, trying to avoid Pete's eyes.

"Yeah, let's…"

"Okay, let's go," she finally got out. She made her way over to the door, carefully avoiding his gaze or any contact with him as they both rushed to follow Artie.

Neither of them knew whether to hit Claudia or thank her at that moment, but they did know one thing: neither of them could focus on inventory that day.
