A/N: So, I'm a Tony, Ziva, and Tiva fanatic. But, I decided that I needed to give McGee a chance. But, do you think I could write a story without something totally epic happening to one of the characters? Well, if you did, you're wrong. McAbby, and anti- McAbby. Kind of interesting. One step forward and two steps back. I kinda got the idea for this story from the song "Please Don't Leave Me", by P!NK. Well, enough chatter already lets- oh wait. I forgot the disclaimer. I don't own NCIS, blah blah, yada yada, now we can get on with the story!
DEAD: Marine Lt. Jonathan Hoir
Found dead at Quantico Marine Base.
Gibbs slammed the case file shut. He'd read it about a billion times. Nothing was helping him understand anything. Abby had a laptop and a magnet downstairs. Something had to be there for a reason.
"This guy was smart," Abby muttered to herself. "He erased the whole hard drive. What do you think, Bert?" She asked, turning to the Hippo.
She set the computer down, turning to the fingerprint she found on the magnet she was trying to match. She knew it wasn't Hoir's. She had already checked about 80 gazillion times.
"Did you check the spare?" McGee asked, setting down a caf-pow on Abby's desk.
"Spare?" Abby replied.
"Yea. This model laptop comes with a spare hard drive that most people don't know about."
Abby walked over to the evidence table, and opened up the laptop. The screen was gray and staticy. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get it to work.
"What did you do to it?" McGee asked.
"I didn't do anything!" Abby replied. She saw McGee look down at the table.
"How much more careless can you get?" He yelled at Abby. "Putting a magnet next to a computer? That is the most stupid thing anyone could do!"
"Its not like a tried to!" Abby shouted back.
"It was a MAGNET! How could you not see it! You just erased our most important piece of evidence!"
"Could you quiet down a bit?" Tony said, walking into the lab.
"I don't know, can I?" Abby said, still shouting. She walked over and punched McGee. Lowering her voice to a threatening whisper, she said, "The one who wins will be the one who hits the hardest."
Tony was wide-eyed as he saw Abby rush past him. This had never happened before.
A/N: Yes, short chapter. But what do you think? I know, it stunk compared to chapter 1 of "The First Gibbs-Slap." But please review!
