A/N: It's been so long since I published something! I've been working super hard on my upcoming Mario crossover story, so I've hardly been doing any other writing. Sorry about that! Here's a little something to let everyone know I'm still alive and still working on this story.
A lot of people don't understand why Peach doesn't fight back when Bowser tries to kidnap her, since she obviously knows her way around a fight. This is a story where she does just that.
On a separate note, is anyone else also excited beyond all reason for the new Pokemon?
A pink vase went sailing through the air, narrowly missing the Koopa King's head before shattering against the wall behind him.
"Woah, watch it!"
"No, YOU watch it! How many times do I have to tell you to stay out of my castle and just leave me in peace?" Peach's cheeks flushed bright pink, her brows furrowed in a tight frown.
"But Peach, I…"
Thwak! A tennis racket splintered over Bowser's horned head. He reached up carefully to remove the bits of broken frame from his disheveled mane.
"You messed with the wrong girl today Bowser Koopa! Look at my wall, look at what you've done…again!"
Peach whipped around, gesturing to the gaping hole on the eastern wall of her bedroom. A piece of granite fell from the ceiling to the floor with an awkward clatter. However, Bowser barely had time to survey the damage he had done before he found himself under assault again. This time, turnips came careening from the other side of the room, thrown with the deadly force of a Bullet Bill.
Bowser ducked and dodged like a pro, "Hey, woah. Cut it out, I just want to…"
"Shut it, I don't care what you want. You make me so…MAD!"
The angry energy began welling up in Peach. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists. Her brows creased and a magic aura waved around her. Bowser took a step back…he'd seen this before.
A rain of explosives fell upon him as Peach unleashed her magic attack. The tiny bombs engulfed the Koopa while blasting apart the remaining furniture in the room. When the flames subsided, Bowser was on the ground. He tried to get back on his feet, but his weakened body shook with the exertion.
"Peach," he coughed, "You…last time I…" Another crumbled piece of granite fell from the ceiling and struck Bowser squarely on his already abused head, knocking him unconscious.
Peach brought her hand to her mouth and felt the anger drain from her body. She looked down at the collapsed form of the Koopa King, as well as the shambled remains of her bedroom.
She heard a knock at her "door" before Toadsworth let himself in by stepping over the smoldering pile of ash. "Y-Your Highness…I see my trip up the stairwell to warn you of the latest Bowser attack was quite unnecessary." He broke a piece off a gnarled piece of charcoal that used to be a nightstand and examined it. "Quite."
Peach sighed, "Yes well, I suppose we ought to do something with him." She gestured to the unconscious Koopa on the floor.
It took no fewer than twenty-seven Toads to move Bowser's hulking form from Peach's bedroom floor to the nearest guest bed. They moved slowly down the hall, erupting in jeers each time they accidentally ran his bruised head into a doorframe or one of his spikes would carve a mark into the wall.
Peach sat by his bedside, dabbing his head with a cool washcloth when finally his eyes cracked open and he let out a long, loud groan.
"Urrgh, that really hurt!"
Peach jumped back in surprise. "W-well, maybe you should have thought about that before crashing into my castle."
Bowser swung his legs over the side of the bed and gingerly touched his tender head.
"Stay back," Peach commanded, "I think I made myself quite clear that I won't be going anywhere with you."
"Hmph, like I was even here for that." He dug in his shell to produce a shiny rectangle. He presented it to Peach unceremoniously. "Here."
Bowser scratched the back of his head, then winced, "Yeah, you left it at my castle the last time I...you know. I thought you might want it back before the new Pokemon comes out…"
He snorted, "Well…don't get used to it. Next time you're coming with me and your kingdom will be mine!" He tried to laugh but it came out as a cough. "Ugh, whatever."
"KAMEK!" he yelled, "Get me out of here. And make me something to eat, I have a headache…"
The Koopa King vanished in a puff of geometric shapes, leaving Princess Peach with a stunned expression and her 3DS, its soft blue light glowing in her hands.
