A/N: Ok, so this is my first Jam fic. I was just re-watching the "Drug Testing" episode for the millionth time (it's one of my favorites) and couldn't resist writing this little drabble. I just love the pairing so much! It's nothing special, just your usual "what if" scene. I didn't set out to write anything extraordinary, just something fun and cute. I hope you like it!
"Did you want to tell me something? You look like you want to tell me something. You look like you have something really important to say and you just can't for some reason." Pam said with a joking air. Jim was under her jinx and couldn't talk until he bought her a Coke. She was having fun tormenting him. "Come on, you can tell me. Jim, you can tell me anything."
The look on Jim's face changed from amusement to something resembling sadness. There was a sudden change in the mood of the room. Both Jim and Pam thought at that moment that if he wasn't jinxed Jim would truly have told her anything. No, not just anything, but everything. He would have told her everything he had kept to himself for so long. He would have told her the only thing he had never told her.
Pam watched as Jim's expression turned to a kind of realization. Rushing through his head was the thought that he didn't have to talk to tell her what he wanted to.
Before Pam knew what was happening and before Jim thought about it too much and reconsidered he had gotten out of his chair at the table and bent down next to her. He gently pulled her face up to his as he pressed his lips to hers. It was a quick, sweet kiss.
When it ended Jim began to walk out of the room. He looked back to see Pam sitting stunned in her seat. He gave her one of his signature smiles and strode off to his desk.
Later that day Pam walked up to Jim's desk. She set a Coke down by a pile of papers. "Here" She said simply. Jim shrugged and gave her a look that said "and…"
"Just buy it from me." He gave her a puzzled expression. "I haven't talked to you in hours and it's weird. Just buy it from me." She said somewhat exasperated. He smiled, pulled out his wallet and dug out a dollar which he handed to Pam. He then picked up the Coke and set it in front of her. She grabbed the Coke off the desk and looked at him.
"Hi." Jim said quietly with a sweet smile.
"Hey." Pam replied with a smile of her own.
"How much time do you have left on your break?"
"10 minutes." With that Jim motioned to the break room. Pam began making her way there then stopped and held out her empty hand to him. He took and entwined his fingers through hers.
In the break room they talked and laughed and shared the Coke that had changed everything.
