A Story Book Ending
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Summary: So she took her final deep breath, grabbed her father's arm, and headed down the aisle to meet her prince charming. This was truly a story book ending. Loliver.
A/N: Dedicated to SparkleInTheSun because she RPs Lilly on Twitter and inspired me to write this after Lilly and Oliver got married…. Enjoy! :D
She would never forget the night that he proposed... It was magical, like something out of a fairytale, it was special… It was unreal.
They were dancing, spinning, spinning, the colors flooding their eyes, and the music drowning in their ears.
All of the sudden, Oliver stopped, and got down on one knee. Lilly breathed in, and put a hand to her mouth.
"Oliver, what- what are you doing?" She asked in a small voice, her heart racing, and palms sweating.
"Lilly… Will you…" He cleared his throat. "Lilly, will you marry me?" He took out a small box and opened it, to reveal a simple ring, a silver band with flowers around its center and a small white diamond in the middle.
"Y-yes…. Yes, Oliver, yes…" Fresh tears dripped from her crystal blue eyes as Oliver got up and hugged her.
"I love you…" He whispered in her ear.
All she was able to do was sob in return, and he knew that that was the only possible way she could say "I love you" at that moment… And it was okay.
She gasped as Miley zipped up the back of the dress and forced her to turn around.
"Lilly, it's perfect." Her best friend smiled as she surveyed herself in the mirror. "You're going to look beautiful."
A small smile crept its way towards Lilly's lips. "Do you think Oliver will like it?" She asked, twirling around to look at every angle of the gown.
"Oliver will love it… He'll love whatever you wear, Lilly, because he loves you."
Lilly hugged her friend quickly and let her eyes return to the mirror.
She smiled. "I'm getting married." She whispered as she turned around to the changing room to take off the dress and buy it.
She woke up in a sweat, thinking of her dream.
He said "I don't." He said "I don't."… How could he have said anything like that?
It was just a dream, she reminded herself, as she heaved a sigh.
Then she remembered the date, it was her wedding day…
Lilly got up and called Miley.
"I can't do it, Miles… I just can't…"
"You're just nervous… You'll be fine… You and Oliver are forever."
And with that Lilly smiled… And then she cried.
She stepped into the church, her eyes wandering the building, her stomach full of butterflies.
It was time. Today was the day. It was right now.
She was getting married.
So she took her final deep breath, grabbed her father's arm, and headed down the aisle to meet her prince charming. This was truly a story book ending. What she had been waiting for her whole life. A happily ever after.
"With this ring I thee wed Lilly Truscott." He slipped the ring on her finger.
She smiled. "With this ring I thee wed Oliver Oken." And did the same.
"I now pronounce you man and wife." The priest said. "You may kiss the bride."
And Oliver grabbed Lilly and kissed her with all he had.
Yes, a story book ending for sure.
