He's an enigma.

At least, that's what Flynn thinks, because Yuri is always trying to help the people who need it more than others. Because he's always making a difference in someone's life—not for glory, but because that's just how Yuri is.

And Yuri is dominant and strapping until he really starts thinking, and then he's not a savior, he's not on a high pedestal anymore; he's just the same as everyone else.

Of course, there are very few people who have seen Yuri like that.

Flynn might even be the only one. And Yuri is really strange, because he really hates that Flynn knows, but really likes when Flynn takes it into consideration. And Flynn is really strange, because he likes that Yuri has a low side, but hates that Yuri won't open up just a little bit more.

Because, sometimes, it's just too hard to look at him without crying.

Because Flynn knows when Yuri just doesn't think he can take it anymore, and hates that Yuri takes so much that he just won't let him care. He also hates it when Yuri just won't break, even though he's at the breaking point.

What really gets to him, though, is that Yuri can be—and is—strong, but isn't strong enough to show what he's really thinking.

But Flynn is strange, because part of him really likes that about Yuri.

.

He's a mystery.

At least, that's what Yuri thinks, because Flynn is always trying to be the honorable one, even though he knows that there are easier answers within his grasp (just ask Yuri, because he knows how to take matters into his own hands). But Flynn likes doing things nobly, because that's just how Flynn is.

And Flynn is actually a take-charge kind of guy, until he starts to really think, and then he's not a knight; he's the same little kid who always beat Yuri by this much at everything, and he really doesn't know what he's doing.

Of course, there aren't a lot of people who have thought of Flynn like that.

Yuri is almost proud to say that he's probably the only one. And Flynn is really strange, because he really hates that Yuri teases him about his insecurities, and he really likes that Yuri takes up the space in his one-track mind to remember. And Yuri is really strange, because he likes that Flynn has enough courage to show what he's feeling, and hates that Flynn can actually get hurt.

Because, sometimes, it's just too hard to look at him without crying.

Because Yuri knows when Flynn just can't give anymore, and hates that he just keeps giving. He also hates it when Flynn just won't let Yuri break, even when he's at the breaking point.

What really gets to him, though, is that Flynn is—or, can be—weak, but isn't weak enough to admit what he's really thinking.

But Yuri is strange, because part of him really likes that about Flynn.

End Notes: Ahh, don't really know where this came from. xD Just a sort of drabble. Uh, hope you liked reading it? It came to me in about thirty minutes, so it shouldn't be too difficult to comprehend. I just love how Yuri and Flynn are really opposite of one another, but still so alike. :3 And it really means a lot that they can still care for each other so much through all of their problems. This is more of a friendship fic, I think, but it could definitely be YurixFlynn if you squint. ;)
