AN: I made another Cleris story. I like making these little one-shots when I get bored. It's an alright piece of work I'd say, but you, the readers, will be the judge of that. Review!

Cloud: Aeris is gone. Aeris will no longer talk, no longer laugh, cry... or get angry... What about us... what are WE supposed to do? What about my pain?

'What about my pain...?'

Cloud stood outside the Forgotten City, hands clenched into tight fists as he stared at the pool of dark water in front of him.

Where Aeris had been released back into the life stream after being struck down by Sephiroth.

'Aeris is gone.'

"Cloud..." Tifa whispered gently, laying a hand on his shoulder, to which he shrugged off.

"Yo Spiky, come on. You can mope on the way! Get a move on!" Barret's voice shouted from farther away, Cait Sith, Cid, and Vincent beside him.

Cloud turned his head briefly to see Tifa walk up to Barret and smack him on the head and yell something that sounded like, "How can you be so insensitive, Barret?!" but Cloud's mind felt heavy and un-clear, he barely registered the fact that Yuffie had grabbed his arm and was dragging him away from the party of people Cloud had come to know as his friends.

When they were out of hearing distance of the others Yuffie dropped his arm from her grasp.

"Come on Cloud, say something."

"...Something." His lip twitched, hinting a smile.

Yuffie smiled then whacked him in the back of the head.

"Ow! What the hell was that for?!" Cloud shouted, pain now thumping in the back of his skull.

"For making us all worry like this! I mean, I know you're grieving..." Yuffie trailed off. She wasn't sure how to phrase this without causing him to become a emotionless robot like he had just a moment ago.

"You don't know how I'm feeling, Yuffie." Cloud said in a hard voice, now staring up at the darkening sky.

"Maybe not. But I can sympathize."

"I don't want your pity or sympathy- OW!"

Yuffie glared at Cloud whom she had just kick in the shin.

"Stop that!" She shouted.

"Stop what!?"

"Stop acting like...like Vincent!"

That brought Cloud up short. He was acting like Vincent? His never smiling comrade, that seemed to always have a look serenity on his features, but a depressing note to his speech?

"You're acting so blah and depressing. I know you're missing Aeris with every fiber of your heart and soul but, Cloud, you gotta keep living." Yuffie said with a soft and caring note to her tone.

"Keep...living?" Cloud mumbled to himself, as the dark sky started to shed the tears that Cloud would not shed himself.

"Basically, Keep on being your pain-in-the-ass self, Cloud." Yuffie grinned at him, huddled under a large and deformed tree to shield herself from the rain.

Cloud smiled a little back, letting the rain soak him through and through.

Of course, he wasn't about to just get over Aeris like a child getting over a broken toy. He would always think about the 'What-ifs'. He would always think about her. But he'd keep on living, for the both of them.

I never blamed you, not once. You came for me. That's all that matters.
