OMG! Another oneshot! LOL! This is based on Owl City's "Fireflies." KCxRiley

Riley's POV

I paced my room back and forth, back and forth. I was trying to work up the nerve to ask KC to come on a date with me. It was one of those dates that you go to the park and you watch fireflies and fall madly in love. I finally got the nerve and suddenly my fingers were dialing the digits to her cell phone. Before I knew it, she had answered the phone.

"Hey Case. It's Riley."

"Oh hey Riley what's up?"

"Um, well, uh, I was wondering of you would go on a date with me tomorrow?"

"Sure! So where are we going."

"I know it might sound cheesy, but I thought maybe to the park to watch fireflies."

"Sure! I love the idea and I don't think it's cheesy!"

"Great. See you tomorrow."

"OK bye!"

I drove up to KC's driveway. This was my one shot. I parked my car and walked to her door. I rang the doorbell and waited. My blood started to pump and my heart was racing. I turned around and looked at the sky.

"Oh world," I whispered to myself. "Please bring out fireflies!" The door swung open.

"Come on Riley. Please take me away from here!" KC ran to my car. I came chasing after her.

"Case, what's wrong?"

"My mother, that's what's wrong. She keeps staying up late and I told her to just go to bed or be quiet so she just turned on this crazy music and-" I cut her off.

"Just come on I'll make everything better." KC broke a small smile. We hopped in my car. I turned it on, and we left for the park. I drove slowly, waiting for the fireflies to come out. As we arrived, I sighed with relief. It was as ten million fireflies had came out for our date. I smiled. I looked at KC. I hadn't even mentioned how beautiful she looked in her baby doll top, jeans, flats, and scarf.

"I love your scarf," I said. I'm such an idiot! I was supposed to compliment her first, not her outfit. I'm so stupid!

"Thanks. I bought it especially for our date." Phew! I'm lucky she saved me!

"Shall we go?"

"Yes, I think we should. So what are our plans?"

"I was thinking laying on the grass watching fireflies, like I mentioned in our phone call."

"OK." We hopped out of the car and headed down a huge hill. We stopped about half way and laid down on the grass. I grabbed her hand. She smiled at me.

"Wow. There has to be a million fireflies out here! How did you know there would be so many?"

"It's luck." We smiled at each other.

"I'll be right back. I have a surprise for you,' I told her. I hopped up and ran to my car. I pulled out a jar with a lid that had holes at the top. I ran back to KC.

"Here you go," I told her.

"What's this?" she giggled out.

"It's a jar to catch fireflies. Come on I'll help you."

"But where's your jar?"

"I don't need one. We'll catch them together." We caught firefly after firefly, and ended up with almost a hundred! When the sun went all the way down, and the fireflies went away, we sat down on the grass again and watched the stars. When she wasn't expecting it, I kissed her on the cheek.

"I really love you KC! I really do! Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Of course I will Riley!" We sat there for many more minutes, holding hands, and staring at the stars. We were madly in love.
