So, last night broke my heart.

Part of What's left of me by Nick Lachey

I don't own anything, if I did it would all be the way that it's supposed to be.

Watch my life,
Pass me by,
In the rear view mirror
Pictures frozen in time
Are becoming clearer
I don't wanna waste another day
Stuck in the shadow of my mistakes

Mark sat in his apartment. He had told Callie that he felt better, but he didn't. Not by a long shot. He grabbed his keys off of the coffee table on impulse and decided to fix things because he couldn't fix them by himself.

Lexie sat in front of the TV watching a rerun of Full House. She still remembered being a kid and thinking being a grownup could be that simple. It wasn't seeing as she was eating her way up a scrub size again.

There was a knock at the door and she got up. When she saw who was at the door she started to turn around.

"Lexie please let me in." He said standing at the door.

She stood just beside the door.

"Lexie, please. I was wrong. I was hypocritical, sexist, and immature. I just didn't realize it. Lexie please talk to me."

Cause I want you,
And I feel you,
Crawling underneath my skin
Like a hunger,
Like a burning,
To find a place I've never been
Now I'm broken,
And I'm faded,
I'm half the man I thought I would be:
But you can have what's left of me

When she didn't answer he continued. "Sex doesn't fix me anymore, you fixed me. Now I'm broken and I can't put myself back together."

Lexie leaned against the wall with tears falling down her face and a small smile on her face. With one hand she slowly opened the door.

I've been dying inside,
Little by little,
No where to go,
But going out of my mind
In endless circles,
Running from my self until,
You gave me a reason for standing still

"Hey…" She said softly as he walked through the door.

"Hey…." He replied.

"I'm sorry." They both said at the same time.

It's falling faster,
Barely breathing,
Give me something,
To believe in
Tell me: It's not all in my head

"Let's make a deal," Mark said walking towards her and slowly wrapping his arms around her waist, "Let's never sleep with anyone else ever again."

"Okay." She said leaning up and kissing him.

Take what's left
Of this man
Make me whole
Once again
