A/N: Hi all! Wow, it's been WAY too long since I've even been on fanfiction, let alone posted. I'd like to think I've matured, along with my writing style, but who the hell knows? This is a poem I submitted to my Creative Writing class a few months ago, and I wanted to know what you all thought of it. Let me know, please!

Green Eyes and Black Hearts

Green, like olives forced into almonds over his visage,

I breathe in, feel my features change,

Felt my facial muscles rearrange.

I never imagined I could hate those eyes so much.

My heart and head have stopped at once-

The latter halts, the former dies,

I heard them say he had her eyes,

But I didn't know I still needed them so much.

Never could I guess,

The next time gazed into the green,

That on his face they would be seen.
He looked like James, so much.

His countenance made it bearable,

To witness fear in her eyes,

As I glowered into the face I despise.

But I didn't know I missed her so much.

"I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death."

But the last part, not so much.
