Title: Party Reinforcements
Summary: "They're an expert in all things party…kinda." He answered her, a slight grimace masked by a smirk. "Nathan, so help you God if you called Brooke Davis I will kick your ass ten ways to Sunday." She said seriously. A short (tiny even) nonsense little season one drabble.

"No, no, no, no, no!" Haley exclaimed, barely resisting the urge to stomp her foot to exaggerate the point. "No Nathan!"
"Haley." Nathan laughed, though quickly squelched his smile when he saw the death glares beaming from his girlfriend's eyes. "I don't have much of a choice. I can't call in and say 'Hey Gary, I know it's only my second day of work, but my girlfriend's throwing a party so I can't come in.'"
"Why not?" she whined with a pout, her big brown eyes wide with worry and panic.
"Hales, it's going to be fine. You've got all the food, all the drinks. Not like we're throwing a rager right?" he comforted her, pulling her down to the couch with him, settling her in his lap.
"But Nathan I've never done this before! I've never thrown a party! I've never even had enough friends to consider it a party! What made you think this was a good idea?!"
"Me?" he asked incredulously. "You were the one all excited about having a 'take back the party – party'. How am I the one to blame?"
"Because!" see exclaimed, hands flying wildly. "Because you encouraged me! Because I thought were going to be here with me! You just told me to plan it and invite people! I did my part! Your part was the, you know, the being all host-y part. And now you're leaving and I have to be all hostess-y and –"
"Haley, baby. Oh my God. Settle down before you like, hyperventilating or something." He said, rubbing soothing circles around her back.
"Can I change my mind?" she asked meekly, laying her head forlornly on his shoulder. "We can just tell everyone…well I don't know what we can tell everyone, but we can tell them something. And then I'll just wait here until you get out of work and we can hang out."
"It doesn't work that way Hales." He laughed lightly, tilting his head to press a kiss to the top of hers. "You really will be fine. And as soon as I get off of work I'll be here, okay? Besides, I called in a party reinforcement."
"Who?" she asked, perking up at the idea of not being left completely on her own.
"They should be here any minute. They're an expert in all things party…kinda." He answered her, a slight grimace masked by a smirk.
"Nathan, so help you God if you called Brooke Davis I will kick your ass ten ways to Sunday." She said seriously, pulling her head up to look him in the eye.
"I didn't call Brooke I-" he started only to be cut off by the door swinging wide open behind them.
"Have no fear, the Tim Man is here!" Tim announced; walking into the room with both fists on his hips in what they could only assume was his super hero pose.
"Tim." She deadpanned. "I'm throwing my first party, without you here and you called in Tim."
"Better than Brooke, right?" he asked with a cheeky smile and a shrug, receiving and eye roll and a scoff in return.
