Brown Eyed Girl

Hi! Well this is just a short story on Edward and Bella's first dance. Hope ye like it!!

Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight or the characters. The AMAZING Stephenie Meyer does!

Reasons for choice of song:

Well, #1 Van Morrison is Robert Pattinson's favourite singer!

#2 Bella's brown eyes!

Edward pulled me out into the centre of the dance floor, for our first idance as a married couple.

Oh no! Everybody here, watching me make a fool of myself. I can hear Emmett now, a "blushing bride," is what he'll call me.

Edward must have seen the panic on my face, because he whispers,

"You'll be grand, love," in my ear.

What was I thinking? Edward won't let me fall! There's nothing to worry about.

I wrap my arms around Edward's neck and he wraps his arms around my waisr, pulling me closer in the process.

I begin to wonder what song we'll be dancing to. Like so many other things, Edward kept it a secret.

Suddenly, a familiar song begins to plat. Edward looks down at me, flashing his dazzling crooked smile.

We begin to sway to the music and I'm shocked I didn't see this coming.

Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl" is playing. Edward pulls me closer and sings,

"Hey where did we go,
Days when the rains came
Down in the hollow,
Playin' a new game,
Laughing and a running hey, hey
Skipping and a jumping
In the misty morning fog with
Our hearts a thumpin' and you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.

Whatever happened
To Tuesday and so slow
Going down the old mine
With a transistor radio
Standing in the sunlight laughing,
Hiding behind a rainbow's wall,
Slipping and sliding
All along the water fall, with you
My brown eyed girl,
You my brown eyed girl.

Do you remember when we used to sing,
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da

So hard to find my way,
Now that I'm all on my own.
I saw you just the other day,
My how you have grown,
Cast my memory back there, Lord
Sometime I'm overcome thinking 'bout
Making love in the green grass
Behind the stadium with you
My brown eyed girl
You my brown eyed girl

Do you remember when we used to sing
Sha la la la la la la la la la la te da. "

By the time the song's finished, I beaming from ear to ear.

I forget everything while I'm here in Edward's arms- all my problems and worries about Jacob and the honeymoon. They all don't matter when I'm here.

I lift my face up to Edward's.

"Thanks" I whisper and kiss him passionately
