I walked through the doors of the Cullen mansion. Edward wasn't home yet, but he said that I could stop by and he would meet me there. I nearly fell asleep when Edward walked through the door. I smiled, going into his arms.

I haven't told him my secret, that I was alive during the cival war. I was only going to tell him when he said that he was going to change me.

"Edward, are you still intent on keeping me human?" I asked.

He let go of me immediately. "Bella-" he warned.

"Answer it, Edward."

He sighed, "Yes, Bella, and you are not going to be a vampire for as long as I can help it."

I smiled. I was already a vampire. As was my past love, Damon Salvatore, until Katherine came and made him believe that he loved her. I will never get over that. Annabelle, a friend of mine, was a vampire and she changed me after Katherine and Anna's mother, Pearl, was captured. I sat back down, a frown on my face.

"I can't believe you!" I said.

He chuckled. "My kind are pretty unbelievable."

I glared at him. "I have some information that you would love to know, but I can't tell you until you change me."

Edward looked alarmed. "Bella, that's not fair!"

I smiled, "No, you aren't playing fair."

"I won't take your life away from you!"

I sighed, "Fine. Then I will take matters into my own hands."

He scooted closer, etching for a kiss. "Then take it."

"Why won't you change me?"

"Because, Bella, I want you to live a normal human life."

"And when I'm old and wrinkly?" Which will never happen.

"I will die right after you, go to the Volturi."

"And if they came for me, would you change me then?"

He hesitated. "No, you are staying human."

I jumped up, "We're through."

I walked toward the door and Edward was in front of me in seconds. "What?"

"We are through, Edward. If someone was going to kill me, you would still keep me human. If the Volturi were still after me, you would still keep me human, even if it meant they would kill me, to no return. So, we are through. Good bye."

I ran to my truck and started it. Edward was at my door, begging me back.

"Bella, I love you. Please, don't go."

I laughed, "Edward, I'm leaving."

"I'll change you. I promise I will."

I looked at him. "You promised Aro and Marcus, but what happened? You aren't. You want me to marry you first, at eighteen!"

"That is normal for my time!" Edward argued.

I shook my head. "Your time is long gone Edward. In the real world, we get married at twenty-two at the earliest. But, you still live in your world, where you wish you were. Well, let me tell you something. I wish I was back to a certain time too, but the world doesn't work that way."

I hit the gas pedal and the truck started to reverse. Edward was in the cab before I could object.

"Wherever you go, I go."

I was angry, and I was rarely ever angry. I whipped my head toward him and I felt my eyes grow dark, I opened my mouth and hissed, my fangs coming out. Edward had a fearful expression. I kicked him out of the cab and got out of the car.

"Bella, what?"

"My secrets are just as dark as yours."

"I thought we were past all the questions. I thought we were being honest with each other."

I shrugged, "I don't think so. I told you, you had to change me for my secrets to be told."

"I told you that I would."

"Do you ever mean it? No. I don't believe you, nor will I ever. I'm leaving."

I ran off, faster than his kind could ever possibly move. After five minutes, I was in Virginia. I went to the airport and bought a ticket to Italy. I was visiting the Volturi, who were my family. They pretended that I was a human for the Cullen's benefit, but they knew the truth. The plane ride was long and as soon as I landed, I went to the woods and ran to Volterra. Three minutes later, I was at the grate that led to their receptionist. I dove in and ran through the halls. The secretary - whatever her name is - didn't even see me. I burst through the throne room doors and smiled.

"Hello, boys and girls. Miss me?" I said seductively.

Demetri and Alec, my 'brothers' ran up to me and hugged me. "Isabella!" Felix laughed. I smiled.

"What's up Felix?"I said, gangstering it up. "How's my favorite little vamp bro?"

He turned toward Dem and Al, "Told you. I am her fav."

I rolled my eyes. I spotted Heidi and Jane talking amongst themselves. "Ladies, you gonna leave me hanging? Girls, I know I'm better than that."

They smiled and ran at me, which seemed to take forever. I was on the guard, and the brothers had me work from wherever I was. They knew they could contact me - by calling my cell phone.

"Aro, Caius, Marcus. Nice to see you as well." I nodded in their direction.

"Where is the Cullen boy?"

"Long gone. He wouldn't have changed me, even if you were to come after me. He would rather have me truely dead then walk the night with him. Little does he know, I know everything."

Aro smiled, "We have news of more of your kind. Mystic Falls, Virginia." I blinked. That was where I grew up.

I yawned a little. "How many?"

"At least three."

My eyes widened. "That many! My kind usually just have a partner or they're by themselves."

Aro looked alarmed. "I will send you there, I just hope you will be alright."

I sighed, "Mystic Falls is where I was born. When I was alive there were vampires in hoards. I'm guessing at least one of them is someone I knew when I was human. They are after Katherine, if she isn't already back."

They nodded, confusion in the newer guards faces. "I hope you get wind of what is happening there, I will call every few weeks." Aro said.

I bowed, "Yes, master. I will call if I find out anything." I walked toward the doors, "Good bye! Thanks for the warm welcome!"

I ran out and swam to Virginia, not feeling like I should fly. Mystic Falls was as beautiful as it was when I was twenty here, madly in love with Damon Salvatore. Then, Annabelle introduced me to Pearl and . . . Katherine, who was an orphan from Atlanta - or so she told. I kept all of my dresses of the days back then in my manor that my father left to me in his will. Annabelle had changed me right before she left, and I stayed in the house for a few years after the Salvatore brothers mysterious death, then I had to leave, but I came back every so often, or someone from the Volturi would come after the years passed. I sighed, breathing in the scent of my home. The only home I had ever had. I came here once every year, so people would know that it is lived in.

I took a quick shower and cleaned before opening the windows. I looked at the golden crystal on my neck, and my golden ring. Annabelle had some made for me when I was human, just in case one should disappear. I looked outside and saw a familiar person, but I couldn't figure it out who it was. I walked outside to check the mail and I recognized the person as sooner then the person recognized me. The person gasped as he realized who I was, tears were welling up in my eyes.

"Isabelle?" He asked, uncertain.

"Damon!" I cried, happily. "I thought you were dead!"

"You as well. Katherine changed me and Stefan."

I sighed, "Ah, Katherine. How is she?" My tone was sour and I was suddenly interested in the post. I wouldn't cry, I would not will myself to cry.

I shrugged, "She got what she deserved. How are you fairing?"

He looked at me, "Trying to kill Stefan and his human pet. What about you?"

I smiled, "Scared a little boys heart out, Annabelle changed me, and I had a temporary family. Nothing too much has happened. Well, if you want to go grieve over Katherine, don't let me be in the way. Bye, Mr. Salvatore."

I walked past him, my mail in my hands, to my house.

"Belle!" He said, right behind me. I walked into my home.

"Yes?" I asked, turning around. He couldn't come in because he wasn't invited.

"Let me in."

I shook my head, "No, because after I spent 150 years loving you, you will get a taste of what it feels like to be dumped to the side!"

I slammed the door in his face and sorted through my mail. There was a letter from the Salvatore house.

Your scent is still in town every so often, so you must come here often.

I'm sorry for the way Katherine made me forget you, but I can't love you. I just want you to know that you will always be in my heart, but I can't return the love I know you still feel for me. So, if you are alive still, please do not write back. Just know that I want you to give me up.

I thrust the letter into the fire and I looked up to see Damon looking through the window.

"Love? I wish I could call it love now! You screwed this one up big. Katherine and I, you haven't seen a war until you see that," I said to him.

He growled and his eyes got dark.

"I love you, Damon! I've loved you for 153 years exactly to this day! All you have ever cared about what Katherine Pierce. 'Oh, Belle, have you seen Katherine?' 'Did you see how beautiful Katherine was?' 'Did you talk to Katherine?' I won't be your little toy any longer! I should have gone to Annabelle before you changed. That would have been the right thing to do. Maybe I could make you love me again."

I turned around and opened my trunk of my dresses. "This one was your favorite! This one was the one you met me in! This one was the one you said I love you in! This one is the one we first kissed in! Damon, this one was where we broke-" I stopped throwing the dresses around and picked up the last cival war era gown. "This one was the night where you told me you loved Katherine." I picked up the honey colored dress and walked to the window. I opened it and Damon looked at me.

"You kept it?" He asked.

I looked at him coldly, "I kept everything I had of us. I should have given it away, but I couldn't."

I dropped the dress and my feet and picked up a lit candle. "But, I will now."

I bent down and lit the dress on fire. I watched as my dress burnt to a crisp. I looked at Damon.

"Belle, you shouldn't."

I shook my head, "You moved on, and I tried. I couldn't. Whenever I kissed someone, I thought of you. Whenever I saw a raven or an animal that was wild like you were, I thought of you. Damon, I couldn't forget you. I was terrified to remember, but I was banned from forgetting."

I sat on my sofa when the dress was just a pile of ashes, and I had my back to Damon.

"Belle, you know how it was. I loved her!"

I shook my head, "She made you love her. She compelled you to love her Damon. You don't just see her one day after we spend three years together, and say you love her. It doesn't work that way. She compelled you."

"No, she didn't! She would never!"

"And she compelled Stefan at the same time! If she loved you, she wouldn't have been with Stefan too! If I didn't love you, I wouldn't have begged Annabelle to change me." I looked up, tears falling down my cheeks. "I begged her, and I only did it for you. I should end my life right now."

I walked to my door and opened it. "I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. You are welcome in my house, Damon."

I took a step into the sun and pulled my necklace and ring off. I felt burning, and then I felt myself floating. Soon, I passed out and I didn't see anything, feel anything, or hear anything. Darkness consumed me.
