A/N: This is for Bryn Elizabeth's birthday. It's officially been 3 years since we started talking and since Lily was created. So please review.
A very worried Booth and a concerned Brennan were steering a crying Lily towards Sweets' office. Sweets was just packing up his bag but upon seeing the three he dropped his bag next to his chair and sat down.
"We don't know what's wrong with her. Bones and I just got in from the diner, she was with Wendell the whole time at my apartment so do your whole psychology stuff while we go call everyone," Booth said and shut the door.
"Lily, do you want to talk?" Sweets asked the girl curled up on the couch.
"Sweets, how do you know you're in love?" Lily asked quietly. He sighed and ran his hands though his hair, the three of them never made things easy.
"You never want to leave someone's side and being with them is brings you the happiest feelings in the world, Dr. Seuss says that you know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is better than your dreams," he replied. It was then that he realized that Lily was in her pajamas with makeup smeared under her eyes. "Lils, what's this all about? Why did you ask me that?"
"Wendell," she stated. Just then the door burst open to reveal Wendell and Lily sat up.
"Hey Booth said you've been all upset and crying, what's the matter?" Wendell asked kneeling in front of her.
"Okay private session, out now," Sweets said.
"Actually Sweets you answered my question that's all I needed to know. I feel better now," Lily said sitting up.
"Lily you're like your Dad. You're a gambler its up to you," Sweets said. Lily walked out of the office with Wendell. Booth and Brennan were arguing in his office.
"Agent Booth, Dr. Brennan we're not deaf we can hear what you're arguing about you two obviously need another session," Sweets said.
Wendell and Lily walked past a grumbling Brennan and Booth. Wendell stopped her at the same place Booth did to Brennan only days before.
"Lily, what's the matter?" Wendell asked standing close to her.
She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I love you," Lily whispered.
"I love you too," he replied.
"No, I love-love you, like Booth loves Brenn love," she said.
"I know I said I love you too," he whispered. When Booth and Brennan returned to Booth's apartment for a second time that night they found Wendell and Lily curled up together sleeping on the couch.
