Nothing belongs to me! XD

I had a strange dream last night. In my dream I was in a dark room but the darkness seemed to be more than just than the absence of light, it just felt . . . I don't know, Cold.

At first I thought that I was alone, but then I heard someone crying. I could tell by the sound of their sobs that they were distraught.

Then I noticed a young man sitting against a wall with his knees tucked under his chin.

"Are you alright?' I asked. He didn't respond. "Is there a way out of here?" I asked. "Once you enter you can never leave." He said, his voice was filled with pain and regret that I knew that no matter how long I lived I would never understand.

From somewhere in the dark room came a cackling laugh that made me shiver in fear.

"What makes you think that you can't leave this place?" I asked.

"They told me that once you enter you are forever trapped." He whispered.

"There has to be a way out! Or you could have never entered in the first place." I told him. "There is no way out for me!" he wailed. "I am forever damned!"

The cackling laughter came again, closer.

"I am forever lost." he whispered.

He stood and I could see the hopelessness in his eyes.

I could see horrible burn scars on his face.

"No one can help me." he whispered. "No one cares about me anymore."

I shivered at the despair in his voice.

Who could have done this to him? Why would anyone stop caring about anyone?

"Gone forever and nobody cares." He whispered, tears were leaking out of his eyes.

"Soon you'll cry no more. Soon you'll relish this place." A cold, cruel, slimly but oddly enticing voice said.

I saw terror in the man's eyes. Whoever had just spoken he frightened the boy.

"They were fools. They allowed me access to their prized student. They had such high expectations and pushed him hard and he, trying to please them, tried to reach even higher expectations."

The being gave a near maniacal laugh.

It was then that I realized that he wasn't talking to the boy; he was talking to me.

"Fools." He repeated.

The young man slid back to the floor and resumed his previous position, except he didn't cry; he shook with terror.

The man turned to the boy and kicked him in the shins. The boy yelped in pain.

"Kill her." The man told him in a cruel voice.

My heart started to pound as the young man quickly stood. No doubt to avoid more abuse.

He started to walk towards me and I shivered.

I heard something make a snap-hiss noise and the dark room suddenly had a reddish light in it.

For the first time I could see their faces clearly and they were awful.

I screamed.

The next thing I knew was that I was in the relitive safety of my bed in my assigned room.

I hope that I didn't wake anyone with my scream. We all need our rest and we have a long day ahead of us.

I wonder who the young man is.

I wish that I thought to tell him that I cared, that I didn't care why he was in that room and that I would love him.

Kari would laugh if she knew what I was thinking. She would say that as a slave I would have no business comforting someone our master didn't wish us to comfort. Besides he might be a slave too.

The truth is I know that I must love him because so few will.
