"So…about that tattoo?"

"You never give up, do you Tony?" Special Agent Kate Todd rolled her eyes and brought her Styrofoam cup of coffee to her smiling lips.

All week she had been filled with dread thinking about having to spend countless hours in a car alone with him to watch a suspect, but now she was here, and tired, Tony's jokes didn't seem so boring or offensive, some of them actually making bubbling laughter escape her lips.

"Never," he agreed with an easy grin. "Now where have I yet to guess…?"

"Shut up Tony and watch the street," Kate replied dryly, raising the binoculars to her eyes once more.

"Uh, is it on your ankle?" He asked, and when no response came from her, he blurted out, "It's on your butt isn't it?"

Kate turned around to face him with narrow eyes and parted lips. "You wanna find out, Tony?"

"W-what?" He sputtered, completely taken aback.

"I asked whether you wanted to find out. You know, whether my tatt is where you think it is?" Flirty Kate? No. Special Agent Tony DiNozzo was in a dream. He was sure of it.

Kate turned back around and Tony couldn't see her triumphant smile at leaving him speechless. If this was a dream, as Tony believed it was, then he was going to take full advantage of that. He reached out a hand and placed it on the small of her back. Oh how very wrong that move was…

His hand flew back as if her back was scorching however, when she twisted around again and yelped, "What the hell, DiNozzo?! I was kidding!" Her shocked expression was quickly waylaid by oncoming amusement at her partner's fluster. Her lips quirked up. "You didn't seriously think…"

"I knew that," he said quickly with eyes as wide as saucers. "I knew that."

"Sure you did," said Kate as peals of laughter left her lips and she struggled not to spill her coffee. This was definitely a story she would repeat to McGee…

Author's note: I kind of love this already. Tate FTW! Even though this is more friendship-like I suppose. Please review! This is my first attempt at humour!
