My name is Auden Preece. His name is Oliver Sykes. Are we friends? Yes. Do I want more than that? Hell yes. To be honest, I don't think he would ever think of me as more than a friend, but hey, a girl can dream right?

Well, at least I will be able to spend two weeks straight with Oli, since its Winter break and our parents are best friends. We are all taking a trip to Paris. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty damn excited. Oli all week? Hell yes. Also, his brother Tom and I are pretty close.

The thing is, their parents care about me more than my own do. My parents are pretty cool and everything, but they really don't give a fuck about me. I could come home at fucking three in the morning and they wouldn't even ask where I had been, or why I hadn't called. They were too busy with their own social lives.

"Knock Knock," someone called from the door way. I would know that voice anywhere. I turned around and smiled, because I was right.

"Hey Oli," I said with a smile.

"Your Mum wanted me to ask you if you were almost done packing?" he asked with a smile.

"Yep, I just finished with my last bag," I told him, then threw it at him. But of course since he seems to be fucking invincible, he caught it with no problem what so ever. He just smirked at me and I rolled my eyes at him. I grabbed two of my bags, and he grabbed the last one, then we were out the door of my room and racing down stairs since our parents were getting antsy.

"Fuck, let's go!" Tom yelled, and Carol his mom glared at him.

"Thomas Sykes, do not use that language around your poor mum" his father Ian scolded, but with a small smile on his face. That's what I loved about Ian and Carol, they knew how to have fun and be a good parent at the same time. My parents should take a few lessons from them.

"Fine, but who is going in what car?" Tom asked, looking around at everyone for an answer

When Tom said that the absolute first thing I thought was I have to ride with Auden and the second was please don't let her parents be in the car with us….they scare someone even like me. I looked over at Auden and caught her looking at me, and she instantly blushed when she knew she had been caught, it was really cute.

"I can drive my car with Auden, Tom, and I," I offered "If that's ok with you…" I said once I saw her dad glare at me. I think he had suspected my feelings for her for a while now. Our parents may be best friends, but that doesn't mean he has to actually like me. He liked Tom, but not me for some reason.

Was it the hair? No it couldn't be, everyone loves me hair. Must be the piercings.

"That sounds good to me." My Mum said…bless her. I smiled at her, grabbed Auden's stuff since mine was already in my car, and walked out with her and Tom following me. Tom climbed in the back seat, he said he wanted to lie down and sleep so that left Auden and I in the front…God I hope there won't be awkward silences.

We were standing beside each other by the trunk, trying to fit everything in when I leaned over and said "I don't think your dad likes me very much."

She chuckled and then said "My dad doesn't really like any teenage boy," she patted my arm and continued "don't worry about him though."

Yeah….like that's going to happen.
