What is this? A new SpongeBob fanfic? From lazy old me? XD

...Yeah, it's a songfic from the classic club tune "It's a Fine Day" by Miss Jane.

I needed to let off creative steam... and this fic sucks anyway, so it's not the best thing I've written.

It's a Fine Day

It was just another Sunday morning in Bikini Bottom.

As usual, Squidward was sleeping, not wanting to be disturbed by either an alarm clock or the annoying high-pitched laugh of a certain yellow freak. He prayed in his sleep that he wouldn't be disturbed today by his neighbour.

Unfortunately, his prayers went unanswered as the voice of a thousand sufferings blasted into his ears. SpongeBob was outside singing his head off to an unknown tune, making Squidward wake up with a start. He cursed the square menace under his breath, rushing around his room looking for a dressing gown. He thundered downstairs tying the sash around him, while building up his rage for when he confronted SpongeBob.

When he stepped outside, Spongy was singing louder than before, to lyrics that irritated Squiddy:

"It's a fine day,

People open windows,

They leave their houses,

Just for a short walk.

It's a fine day,

People open windows,

They leave their houses,

Just for a short walk..."

"SPONGEBOB!!!" shouted Squidward, blazing with fury. SpongBob stopped singing, having no idea why Squiddy was so angry.

"Will you please stop that horrendous shrieking? All I wanted was to sleep in ON A SUNDAY, but THANKS to YOU, it's been ruined!!! And all I wanted was a peaceful-"

"It's going to be a fine night tonight!" Squidward was cut off by SpongeBob bursting into song.

"It's going to be a fine day tomorrow!"

"WILL YOU LITTLE TWERP SHUT UP!!!" yelled Squidward, completely controlled by the rage inside him.

"What?" SpongeBob finally spoke normally. "I was just singing this song Sandy put on her CD Player last night!"

"Well it's no excuse for you to start SINGING IN THE MORNING!!!"

"I know, but it was so catchy it got stuck in my all night, even in my dreams!"

"Your dreams?"

"Yeah! It was on constant replay!"

"Hmpff." Squiddy didn't believe the 'constant replay' thing in Spongy's dream.

"Well, see ya later Squiddy!" SpongeBob trilled before running down the street.

"It's going to be a fine night tonight,

It's going to be a fine day tomorrow,

It's going to be a fine night tonight,

It's going to be a fine day tomorrow..."

"Arggh!" Squidward groaned. It seems he would have to put up with Spongy's singing for a while...
