"Poor old Rome with a broken heart…"

Angrily Lovino stuffed his belongings into his suitcase. He didn't know where the hell he was going to go, but he didn't want to be anywhere near his childhood home anymore.

"Feliciano? Where the hell are you going?"

The younger brother looked up sheepishly from his position halfway out the window, "I'm going out to see Ludwig. Its my last chance before camp so don't tell Grandpa, okay?"

He sighed, flipping over on his bed and closed his eyes for another hour of sleep, "Fine whatever."

"Poor old Rome with a broken heart…"

He grabbed a family picture off the nightstand and smashed at against the wall.

"Good morning, Feliciano! Sleep well?"

Lovino smirked to himself. He'd always wanted to try this, "Ve~ I slept great, Grandpa!"

"Good, good," Rome gestured him over, "Have a seat, Feli. Where's your brother?"

"Oh, I don't know…" This was too easy. Rome was completely falling for it.

The man frowned, "That boy. I don't know what to do with him sometimes. And you're always so well behaved."

Yeah, and he's out seeing his bastard boyfriend right now, Lovino thought but he didn't say it. Just grabbed a piece of toast and started eating.

"I'll sure miss you when you're gone away to camp, Feliciano. But it will be a great experience for you!"

"Ve~ I'll miss you too Grandpa!"

"But being alone with Lovino… it's going to be tough."

Oh shut it you stupid, basta-

"I always did like you best you know."

Something inside of Lovino stopped. All these years he thought he was just paranoid but now… the man just proved that he was right all along. And he said it to Feliciano's face.

"But," Rome winked, "Don't tell him that, okay?"

"Poor old Rome with a broken heart…"

Pulling on a jacket he slung the bag over his shoulder and slipped on his shoes. Maybe he could crash at Antonio's for a day or two. At least until he knew what he was going to do with the rest of his second-rate life.

A smile spread across Lovino's face, exactly the same as one Feliciano would be wearing, "Don't worry I won't!"

"Poor old Rome with a broken heart…" wiping tears out of his eyes he ran out of the house, not bothering to look back and pretending that they had never been there in the first place.

"Poor old Rome with a broken heart, can't even tell his boys apart."
