Cuddy stormed into Wilson's office, crossed her arms in a defensive posture and asked the question she had had on her mind all day.

"Are you sleeping with House?"

"W-what?" Stuttered Wilson, spilling his coffee across his desk. He started using patient notes to mop it up.

Cuddy didn't notice; she was too busy avoiding Wilson's eyes.

"Why would you think that I, of all people, would be sleeping with House?"

"There's been rumours."

"There's always rumours! Why is this time any different?" Realisation dawned, "Wait, you believe them this time?"

Cuddy sat down in the chair opposite and finally looked at Wilson, although by no means relaxed.

"I just need to know, so when I come to you with a query regarding his mad methods, I know your answer won't be compromised."

"Lisa, regardless of who I am, or am not sleeping with, it will never affect my medical opinion." He raised his eyebrows.

"Ok." She leant back in the chair. "So are you?"

"Jesus! Yes, I am having mad gay sex with House!"

Cuddy's jaw fell open.

"It was a joke." Wilson shook his head with a grin. "You really think that I would be attracted to House? Me, the mad womanizer – I've had three wives, Lisa!"

"You've also had three divorces." She pointed out.

"That was not the argument I am making" He flung his arms in the air. "Do you honestly believe that someone with an ability to hone in on the largest breasts in any room would really be, can't believe I'm going to say this, giving it to me on a regular basis?"

"No. Of course not. You're right. I'm sorry." She stood up and patted her skirt down. "Silly rumours."

She turned to leave.

"Oh. My God"

She spun back round, "What?"

"You were jealous!" Wilson said shaking his finger at her, "You thought that he had chosen me over you, and you were jealous!"

Cuddy gave herself a mental shake.

"All I care about Wilson is the welfare of the patients in this hospital."

"Sure you do."

Cuddy walked out, swinging her enormous hips behind her. Only when the sound of her heels had echoed far down the corridor, did Wilson breathe a huge sigh of relief.

"That was close!" said House, crawling out from under the desk. He smirked up at Wilson,

"Now where were we...?"
