A/N: The season finale didn't happen...the season finale didn't happen... Lets all just pretend Sweets/Daisy is still canon! It was a great episode though.
BTW, I am starting up a season finale support group for those who need it.
Anyways, this is a little one-shot that kinda...well, sucks. I'm going on a trip tomorrow so I can't update TPitP (but I will eventually! Lots of school work right now!).
Well, NO FLAMES and enjoy!

The Love in the Life

Sweets shuddered as the wind kicked up the fallen leaves and scattered them about.

Daisy shifted the flowers she held into her left hand and took her boyfriend's in the other.

"Don't be nervous," She smiled as her ponytail blew into her face. "I know I'll love your parents." He tried to smile at her, but it came out crooked.

He'd decided to take a few days off work and visit his parents and Daisy had insisted on coming with him. After numerous failed attempts to discourage her, he'd finally caved in. Secretly, he was a little glad that he'd given in, it would be less lonely with her there.

"If you're anything to go by," She had said. "You're parents must be wonderful."

The wind began to die down as they approached a set of black iron gates. They opened onto the cemetery, casting a long and twisted shadow across the green grass and gravestones inside.

Daisy let Sweets lead her along the little brick paths that snaked around granite headstones.

Aside from the overcast sky and the shadow of the gate, the cemetery did not look particularly spooky. It was well kept, with neatly trimmed grass, headstones in a grid-like fashion and had a little red bench near the entrance way.

Sweets stepped off the path and navigated between headstones until he came upon the one he'd been looking for. It wasn't fancy or anything, just a simple gravestone with a simple inscription.

Loving Parents

He crouched in front of it, running a hand across their names.

"Hi Mom...hi Dad..." He whispered. Daisy crouched next to him, placing the flowers in front of the grave.

"Hello Mister and Misses Sweets..." She started. "My name is Daisy Wick...I'm Lance's girlfriend..." She took his hand in hers. "All I can say is that he is the most amazing person I've ever met. He's really kind and just...I love him." She gushed. "He's amazing and I'm absolutely sure you know how lucky you are to have him." She kissed his hand. Sweets pulled her into a hug.

"They would have loved you."

"Really?"

He kissed her head.

"Yes, I'm sure of it."
