Every Moment, It Aches

Her heart. It aches. Every day that passes by. Every moment. It throbs and it aches and it pines away. She weeps with it, pulls her knees to her chest and lets the tears fall.

In the corner. Back against the wall.

She lets her vulnerabilities show but she doesn't let her guard down.

Tears. She sniffs the air. Shaky breath. Another.

Her body shudders. Heart cries out.

There is no end to it. No end in sight. But maybe in her pain she can find a release.

She begins to look forward to it. Hot, white, contorting her body. Twisting her mind. The shattering torment.

It's the only time she feels truly alive any more.
