When the waves are crashing down
Pulling you to sorrow
I will sail you back to shore
When there are no more heroes

It was the night before the great battle with the Titan God, Kronos. Every thing was eerie quiet. There was no sound nor was there a breeze. I looked around my surroundings. Every thing was either destroyed or empty. I looked up to see the stars shinning brightly, even with all of this smoke. I felt a tug of jealousy. It was as if the stars were mocking me.

I heard some one behind me. I quickly turned around with me sword ready. The boy in front of me held his hands up showing he had no weapon. I look closely at his face to see who it was and relaxed.

"Protective, are we?"

"Sorry, Percy. Didn't mean to threaten you. Come, sit."

Percy walked up to me and sat next to me. He stayed quiet for a while, both of us in our thoughts. I peaked a look at him. He had dust and dirt on his clothing and face and his hair was messy. But for some reason, he still manages to catch my breath, especially with the moonlight reflecting off his bright green eyes. I sighed and looked away at the sky. Percy must of guess something was up because he turned his head to look at me.

Over under, near or far

I'll be right beside you

Standing here with open arms
When there are no more heroes

"What's wrong, Annabeth?"

"Will we really make it alive? Are we really doing the right thing?"

"Of course!" he looked at me with wide eyes that cause me to smile.

"No, Seaweed Brain, I mean what if we're not supposed to fight Kronos now? Maybe we're not strong enough. I don't . . ." want to lose you just because of my stupid mistakes I'll make.

His eyes soften as he heard this. "Listen, all I'm hearing is 'what ifs.' And I know for a fact that we won't win if we think that way."

I looked away from him feeling tears starting to creep from my eyes. I couldn't stop it. After all that has happen, it all builds up. Percy leaned over and wrapped his arms around me. Gratitude filled me for what he has done for me. He's always been there. Maybe, just maybe, we can make it through?

And through it all

And through it all

When you're tired and you stumble I will carry you
When starlight falls, my love will guide you home
You'll never be alone
When there are no more heroes

"Annabeth, don't be scared. We can make it. And when you're tired and you stumble, I will carry you."

I smiled at that comforting thought. But then I frowned and sat up. "But I'm not afraid for myself. I'm scared for you. Who will carry you?"

Percy was shocked but then started laughing, which totally confused me. "Alright, Wise Girl, lets make a deal. When either of us can't go on, we'll help each other. Alright?"

I sat there weighing my options. A small smile crept on my face. "I like that. Deal," and with that, I lay back in Percy's arms and watched the stars together enjoying the moment.

And through it all
And through it all
When you're tired and you stumble I will carry you
When starlight falls, my love will guide you home
You'll never be alone
You'll never be alone.

And through it all
And through it all
When you're tired and you stumble I will carry you
When starlight falls, my love will guide you home
You'll never be alone
When there are no more heroes
