Your quote, number 55, is as follows:

"It does not to well to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

Quote Source: Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Your pairing is Harry Potter and Nymphadora Tonks.

4 A.M. Cupcakes

Teal frosting, with pink and white frosting flowers. Tonks had taken to this design, in various colors, because it required concentration to get the petals just right.

"Well, I suppose we can handle one nightmare per year," Harry said sleepily, coming into the kitchen.

"Wotcher, Harry," Tonks smiled. She pushed one of the floral cupcakes towards him.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Harry asked, before eating the cupcake in one bite.

Tonks shook her head. Even though it had been a graphic nightmare, she was calm. "Same stuff, no need. I'm just going to finish these up. You can go back to bed."

Harry stared at her for a moment, trying to see if she was really okay. "Right then. Don't stay up too much longer."

As he walked back up the stairs, Tonks smiled. Her quirks didn't even phase him anymore. Though, she supposed, he was probably just relieved that her paralyzing nightmares were going away now. Literally, paralyzing. The first one she'd had, the day after the battle, had landed her in St. Mungo's for a week. Catatonic… she hated that word. After each of these little episodes, she'd always woken up to Harry sitting by her bedside.

"Damn," Tonks moaned. "How long?"

"About three days," Harry answered. "Give or take an hour or two."

"Tell the Healers to stay out," she grumbled. "I'm not in the mood."

Harry chuckled at this. "Are you kidding? The famous Auror Nymphadora Tonks has had the entire hospital holding its breath. If I try to stop them, they'll chuck me out of here by my ears."

"Some help you are…."

Lost in her thoughts, she completely botched a frosting hibiscus and decided to eat the failure. As she sat eating and waiting for the last batch to cool, she remembered what had brought her to her habit of 4 a.m. cupcakes…

"How are you feeling?" Harry asked, taking Tonks's hand.

"Horrible," she whispered. "Every…every time I close my eyes, I see someone dying."

Harry was quiet for a moment. "What do you do right after you have a nightmare?"

"Lie there shaking for a while," Tonks said bitterly. "Then I try to go back to sleep. Sometimes I just pass out."

"Next time, why don't you try getting up? Do something, anything, to not let yourself pass out. It does not do to dwell on dreams, and forget to live." He squeezed her hand and gave her a small smile.

Tonks snorted. "Dumbledore told you that, didn't he?"

"Yes," Harry admitted laughing.

"Sounds like something he'd say…."

Despite her momentary disdain for Dumbledore's fortune cookie bullshit, she'd taken Harry's advice. It had taken her about a month to find something to do. She'd tried reading, scrapbooking, and loads of other things that had all been too quiet. Finally, she'd decided to cook. And it was glorious. The amount of concentration it took, and the amount of noise it made, took Tonks's mind off the deaths and damage she'd seen during the war. Thankfully, Harry was a pretty hard sleeper.

Tossing her cupcake wrapper into the bin, she decided to go back to bed. She walked quietly up the stairs to Harry's and her room. Snuggling into bed next to him, she found him awake. "You didn't have to wait up," she told him, smiling.

"I know." He kissed her. "Sweet dreams."

Indeed, she thought with a smile.
